New 1.0 BOOSTERJET engine
The 1.0 BOOSTERJET direct-injection turbo engine creates torque on par with those of a naturally aspirated 1.8-litre engine from only one litre of displacement, while delivering excellent fuel economy. Its direct injection system contributes to both low fuel consumption and the lowering of temperatures within the engine’s cylinders. Furthermore, the turbocharger, which forces compressed air into the cylinders, produces high engine torque even from the low-revolution range, making it suitable for a wide spectrum of driving environments, from urban and sporty driving to off-road driving.
New 1.4 BOOSTERJET engine
The new, more compact 1.4 BOOSTERJET direct-injection turbo engine enhances the torqueful driving of the Vitara. The intercooled turbocharger forces pressurised air into the cylinders and enables the engine to maximise torque in the low engine rev range, even at 2500rpm. Moreover, the wastegate valve controls turbo boost pressure by opening or closing the gate, dramatically quickening response and lowering fuel consumption. The direct-injection system further enhances fuel efficiency by optimizing control of the amount, timing and pressure of injected fuel in direct fuel injection. In addition, a short port intake manifold and exhaust manifold integrated with cylinder head allow for a light, compact engine design and faster acceleration.
VITARA HYBRID are among the most efficient models in their respective categories, resulting competitive in terms of consumption and operating costs even with diesel rivals, without the risk of suffering traffic blockages and indeed benefiting from all the tax and administrative benefits provided for hybrid cars.
All the most advanced semi-autonomous driving devices are standard on the entire range: the "attention brake" function (automatic emergency braking with pedestrian recognition), the "straight guide" systems (warning of overcoming and maintaining lane), "stay awake" ( sleep monitoring in case of skidding), "eye-limit" (recognition of road signs with reproduction in the instrument panel), "guardaspalle" (blind spot monitoring with yellow light in the mirror and acoustic warning), "vaipure" (blind spot monitoring at exit rear of the car park) and adaptive cruise control (automatic safety distance maintenance).
The hybrid models are united by new LED headlights with a blue profile inside the headlight assembly, which renews the aesthetics of the car's front profile.
The standard equipment in terms of comfort since the COOL set-up is also rich: automatic climate control, 7 "touchscreen display, color instrument panel with My Drive 4.2" screen, Bluetooth, Android Auto compatibility, Apple CarPlay and MirroLink, rear camera, light and rain sensors, heated and height-adjustable front seats (driver and passenger side), central armrest with storage compartment, height and depth adjustable steering wheel, fog lights, privacy windows, 7 airbags, 17 "alloy wheels.
The TOP and STARVIEW versions also have seats in high-quality material, keyless start, keyless entry, navigator card, front and rear parking sensors, central analogue clock on the dashboard, rear-view mirrors with electric folding and rims with BiColor painting. Finally, on the new hybrid STARVIEW vitara there is also the sunroof in glass.
