Myself and the team at Y Motorsport put countless hours perfecting this Toyota Tacoma prerunner and here is the build breakdown. This is one of the nicest, if not THE nicest 3rd gen Tacomas out there. Crazy to see the full cut out fenderwells.

dear god that thing is bad ass at the start of the video i was like eh it seems like a lot of pre fab peices to make it work but boy was i wrong. the work you guys did is crazy good with the attention to detail off the charts man. one day when i make all the money im going to have to have you guys work on my 3rd gen taco cause i was mesmerized the whole video and watched it about 3 times to write down a list of parts used for my future work on my taco.

Add a Seibon carbon hood and get the white fenders color matched and this thing is perfect. Sickest 3rd gen Tacoma I’ve seen yet.

Very tasty taco! Seriously, very nice build. It would be very cool to see a detailed video of the front hub conversion from CV's to U-joints and locking hubs. Also, did you install a front diff lock or limited slip? Thanks for sharing! 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

On the rack did you guys just do off-set bushing? For the tundra rack.

Wow , someone who actually built it right . Stock spindle and stock steering rack ? lol. Tripod inner “cv”. Ya sure you got “LT” sweet truck. Makes other”LT”builds looks like a spacer lift kit . Well done .

Beautiful! I hope my quicksand access cab is this nice one day!!! Question does that rear with the 35 spline shafts still use the factory speed sensors at the wheel bearings? If not how did you delete it???

Thank you! The factory wheel speed sensors have been deleted. The truck actually runs fine without them! Just no speed display.

Can you go more indepth with the Porsche 934 CV choice? It seems like an odd choice as Porsche CV's use the bolt torque to maintain connection which while being easy to replace is usually weaker than most spline based CV designs, also I found most Porsche CV's have very limited travel making it easy to cause them to eject the bearing balls into the boot. Old 944/911 guy here.

These are the CVs that Solo Motorsports provides. The Porsche CVs are used extensively in the offroad world.

Hi! The Porsche CV’s are actually very strong. We also use them in my 1300HP drift car!

You said your coilovers help you retain 4 wheel drive, what do you mean by that? Great build but way to complex. If you have access to a shop with a lift and you can fabricate puts you at a whole other level then almost everyone! I want my own shop so badly!

So that's about a 300K Taco, right ?

If it was 300K it would be engine swapped, fully caged and 4 linked. Maybe center mount or beamed if they didnt like the extended A arm setup.

@@elli003 LT front is like 15K, LT rear is like 10K(Not counting the axle swap), The fiberglass and bumpers like 3K, Supercharger 7K. They kept the budget lower since they are the shop that did the work
