Bryson DeChambeau was excellent in the morning. Patrick Reed was arguably better in the afternoon. But the real star of Round 2 of the 2020 U.S. Open Championship was Winged Foot Golf Club.

I hate him. But damn he is really really really good. I can’t imagine how much endorsement money he’s left on the table being such an idiot. Pound for pound, probably most consistent player on tour. IMHO.

I played Wingfoot by pure luck in 2010. The members there are soooooo snobby I felt like every eye was on me wherever I walked. And when I did walk, I had to be with my host every step. Bizarre. WASP central.

I love golf, but this is why I hate it. I won a big company effort at the belfry, on the pga course and not the Ryder cup one. Anyway, you could tell at the end all these cheese knobs were well pissed off, but one of the lads I played with said it was the best thing he had ever seen. Far too much entitlement and this sort of it's "my club" mentality. My grandpa was a member at muirfield, but preferred luffness because you could play nine holes after work without all the hassle you would have to endure at muirfield. It's good to hear all the chatter, but I do miss the crowds, especially at the us open in New York.

Keep an eye on Daniel Berger. He’s been playing the best most consistent golf (maybe next to JT AND DJ) all year. If he can keep it together on moving day, he’ll be there in the end.

I just don’t get why most of the shots they highlight are putts...what about a few good drives or saves out of the rough; not a single shot from Rafa Cabrero either.

They want you to watch it on TV (more revenue). However, I must agree.. this vid has perhaps too many putts.

Bigggest issue was the wind and cooler temps which is going to be similar over the weekend. Guys were hitting 200 yard approaches on holes they were hitting wedges into on Thursday.

I guess some people enjoy watching these conditions but at what point is it like come on man. lol when is golf literally unplayable in the rough besides the us open lol it’s weird like one week out of the year we’re gonna make pros shoot over par cause we feel like it lol

@@scottywilliams1061 Agree 100%,I think they find it a shock to the system after playing resort course bomb and gouge on a weekly basis,this is a proper test of straight hitting and patience.

He is one of those characters you like to see get he's come uppance especially in the Ryder Cup but he has the metal and the game to win plus he thrives on not being liked I would suggest -

I feel just the opposite. It was exciting to see Tiger take the game to a new level, but that level is now the standard. A lot of these guys today are just as good as Tiger was then. There’s just more of them. At their absolute best, yes Tiger a cut above, but round to round, just as good.
