I just spoke with a rep and they open a case with Honda/Acura regarding mines. It’s been replaced twice. First time mines went out was 3days after getting my Type S. I told them it might be minor to them but I paid over $50k for this car I want it to work.

I hear ya. At this point until there’s an updated part number I’m leaving my broken, would be worse/more embarrassing if they were flickering.

I also had my passenger puddle light go out about 2 weeks after I got the car. Acura replaced the bulb and the mirror cuz they broke it while replacing the bulb. Acura tech pretty much told me not to bother changing them until the permanent fix comes out.

Surprisingly my passenger puddle lights still running after 2 and a half years my driver side crapped out a week after purchase like you said lol

Lol amazing. I have since upgraded to 23 honda pilot puddle lights which are daylight white. Have been fine for nearly a months now. I have a full video on those 👍🏻

My Type-S brotha from anotha mutha. So, going on 3 weeks since I had my puddle lights replaced. Looks like the bulbs are holding up. So, put in an order for Acura to order the puddle lights since it takes awhile for them to receive the parts due to the current shipping situation. Also ask if they’ll order the other parts like the side view mirror covers due to how fragile and they might crack when removing the parts when trying to replacing the bulbs. Warranty will cover everything since you just bought the car.

Yessir, that’s good news. Speaking from personal experience both the caps and mirror glasses are a 90% chance of cracking so that is Deff a good idea to have in hand. Thanks for the update. Wonder if there’s an updated part number 🤔

I did the same thing with my gt500, was nice, but sometimes it was just to bright. I think the trunk had the best outcome. Vanity and overhead sucked for me.

Is there an updated fix for the puddle lights that go out.? Just realized trough this video that I'm not the only 1. My driver side been out since I got the car & it has always bothered me. I would like to try n get that fixed. Lmk if there's the updated fix. Thank you.

Well this isn’t technically an update but it is a different colored bulb and the housing is also different color which means they have done changes to it. I will be posted weekly/monthly updates on them.

YeaH, getting both of my puddle light bulbs replaced. Smh, I say they should have kept the puddle lights out of the design of the car. The rear view mirrors are fragile. So they ordered the puddle light bulbs and the rear view mirror just in case they break the mirror.

Yep, mirrors will 💯 crack and your right doesn’t really need the puddle lights which have been problematic for years but since they are there I want them fixed, only once there is an updated part tho

I have a 2023 Acura MDX advanced. Are there puddle lights in the mirrors? Mine is brand new and they don’t work if there are lights in the side mirrors. Thanks.

I have another relative that has a brand new 2023 MDX advance and he doesn’t have them either if they are in the mirrors. I’m not sure how to find out because no one seems to know.

Just got both of my puddle lights replaced today under warranty. Fingers crossed they last. If not I’ll just take back to get fixed. Question? So, we both have the 2021 Type S version. I see KZfaq videos saying 2022 TLX type s version. Is there a 2022 version of our car??

Yes there’s a 2022 model already. 2021 was a very limited production number due to low chip availability.

No, those are an accessory and go underneath the side skirts

Yeah it’s a nightmare with those things. Yes I think at some point there will be a tsb most likely with a warranty extension but no recall since it’s technically not a safety issue

Usually type r fitment and there’s plenty of options. I’m going with 19x9.5 +36 bolt pattern 5x120

@@kongxiong6005 pretty flush. It sticks out a tad now but it’s stock height, once it lowered will naturally camber in and be flush

They are well aware of it. I wouldn’t replace it until there is a permanent fix as it hasn’t been the case. The more time the techs go in there the chances are something breaks

@@BCautosolutions that's just one of many problems mine has haha. I do def hate the car. My backup camera has been replaced already and it still does not work properly at night (a black screen), I have the radio crackling, the other day it was changing the volume by itself, and the list goes on haha

@@mikeydude319 that sucks man. The most annoying issue you have is the crackling. That seems to be a never ending issue with acura/honda. Hope it all works out.

@@BCautosolutions thank you I appreciate it. I’ve been trying to get them to buy it back and replace it for a year now. The backup camera is more annoying than the intermittent crackling I would say. It’s flat out not safe. My windows are tinted as well. I have the 360° camera and the other 3 camera work fine. It’s just the main rear one that doesn’t like to come on.
