The RS5 has always been an exceptionally under appreciated vehicle. The old V8 was sweet and it sounded absolutely beautiful. This 2.9V6 is quite special as well. Sweet as peach. Power at all times. Amazing grip. Phenomenonal driving comfort and suave interiors. M340i is the one you want. Sheer driving pleasure you know?

And not to forget that the 2.9L V6 is co-developed by Audi and Porsche in which 85% of the development is from Porsche.

It's a stunning car and all, but it's hard to make a case for it over an M340i xDrive in terms of sheer value.

I think you are referring to the M3 and M4, that is the rs5’s direct competitors. The M340i xdrive is a competitor for the audi s5. In terms of overall value the s5 is the better value. One of the best all wheel drive systems ever created (Quattro)which means better all weather driving. Has a ton more trunk space (sportback) and has pretty much the same performance. The s5 is allot more practical, comfortable and an overall more usable vehicle especially in countries with all 4 season. For 2k more then an m340i that is a no brainer. The only thing About the BMW m340i is it will be more fun on the track thats about it. So what do you mean exactly by sheer value?

No man. You are wrong. RS5 is far more powerful and quicker than the M340i plus the M340i is a CKD whereas the RS5 is a CBU. You can't directly say that the M340i is VFM. The RS5 takes 3.5 secs for 0 to 100 and the M340i takes 4.4 secs. If you compare the S5 and the M340i then I would definitely agree you. The S5 is a dead on arrival and is atrociously priced. Stop comparing the RS5 with the M340i okay. This would mean that the M340i is more VFM than the M3 then.

No man. You are wrong. RS5 is far more powerful and quicker than the M340i and the GLC 43 plus both these cars are CKD whereas the RS5 is a CBU. You can't directly say that the M340i is VFM.
