Nice take. I've struggled choosing between S5 & RS5 (+20K USD). While the extra juice with the RS5 would be sweet, for me the value is found in the S5.

I'm having the exact same internal debate at the moment. For months I thought I'd finally decided on the S5 SB. Similar enough at 30% less cost. But now I'm starting to think that if I don't go with the RS5, I'll always feel like I've made too much of a compromise.... With COVID restrictions lifting I can hopefully get a test-drive booked in soon.

Just have APR tune the S5 and you'll get almost the power of the RS5 for alot less $$

The cup holders, wireless phone charging, all the electronic assists, boot space, 360° camera, two displays, body, rear & head lights, wheels, name brand speakers, paddleshifters, folding seats and divide are exactly the same as the Audi A5 Sportback. *Why spend >2x the cost for the engine when there's 257 horse power and oh and the small rear badge cost too..?*

oh dear this person thinks the 260 KWH was is an exact conversion to hp numbers lol.... 349 horsepower, 369 lb-ft of torque, and only takes 4.5 seconds to go from 0-60 mph. Dear lord lol btw the base a5 does not have the same speakers as s5 not the same seats not the same interior bits not the same head lights not the same display all those things you have to option on the A5 for extra you're comparing base a5 to s5 or any a to s model from audi and you will find you can spec a3's for 45 grand + to just get some of the same bits of an s3 which starts at 47500. Same with an a5 you would have to spec it somewhere around 8-10 grand more to get even close to the s5 plus you won't ever get the mag ride and all the suspension bits the better engine the better internal bits helping produce that power reliably plus audis 0-60 and hp figures are under rated for emissions.
