I’m trying to talk my husband into doing something like this next year. Thanks for making this walk through. I gives us a good estimate of the amount of supplies needed.

The Smart long range is able to be daisy chained. I'm sure there is more to it but that is the main thing. Long range is just a single board you can't daisy chain.

Hi, great video you made, and better still your light show is incredible. i was just wondering with the bulb outline going across the front yard, how high off the ground is the pvc?
@CrosscreekLights
@CrosscreekLights Жыл бұрын
I believe it's around 6 inches. We do have rebar underneath the pvc so it only acts as a cover for the main rebar.

I wanna do something like this for Christmas this year how many controllers do you typically need
@CrosscreekLights
@CrosscreekLights 10 ай бұрын
It all depends on the show you would like to run, Our first year we used 800-pixel lights and only used 1 controller. Most controllers come in 16 port configurations and thats what I would recommend starting off with. Each Port can do 200-pixel lights.

Awesome tour and show! Planning on doing this for my first house next year using the same products from HolidayCoro. Would like to see more info on how you do the music part. I’ve been watching their video and they say you need to play the sequence from the CPU using uploaded sequence on an SD card but it looks like this is not the case for your display?
@CrosscreekLights
@CrosscreekLights 2 жыл бұрын
For most controllers including the holiday coro ones you can send data over the ethernet cable from a show pc to run your show.
@euanxiaoyi
@euanxiaoyi 2 жыл бұрын
You can do either... Play the sequence of a computer... Or if you have a Hinkspix Pro you can put it in standalone mode, and run it of the SD card

We shut ours off at 10pm every night. And don't turn them back on until 5 mins to show time. This helps the pixels last longer and reduces power. Thanks for watching! 😁

By my count, you're running SIX 350 watt power supplies on a single 15 amp (20 if you're lucky) outlet? You're really playing chicken with your breaker box. Guessing you're not running much of anything over 30% brightness? Each one of those pulls 6.8 amps fully loaded, so 6 of them sharing a single 15 amp circuit... We are pushing 4500 or so pixels on a single HinksPix Pro controller with dual 350 watt supplies running off one 20 amp outlet. Obviously the draw isn't constant for a pixel show, but sheesh...6 on one outlet is really pushing it to me!
@CrosscreekLights
@CrosscreekLights 2 жыл бұрын
We actually use 2 circuits and only run 4 powersupplies off of one circuit. Plus we are no where near maxing the 350 watts.

In the future, you will not want to share your FM transmitter setup. That cheap Chinese FM transmitter is NOT FCC approved and you could get fined severely by the FCC seeing how it is transmitting well over the 1/10 watt maximum! By showing this on your video, you are admitting guilt, should the FCC come knocking on your door. Just a friendly warning.
