Camera angle is dreadful so kudos if you can get through this! New mount and watched the footage back, could have cried 😅 It's forecast rain for the next few weeks and I wasn't subjecting you to ANOTHER rainy vlog 😂

“Abso-frickin-lutely” no problem! I always get a kick out of your commentary and the unusual camera angle actually worked well on the twisty road segment since, coupled with the beautiful engine soundtrack, it emphasized the sensation of actually riding along, focused on the upcoming turns. The new bike looks and sounds great and I am certain you just pre-sold a ton of them.

No joke! These guys approached her and basically talked to her like she was a helpless girl just because she's a woman on a fast motorcycle that they themselves probably can't even ride. She's LITERALLY riding a bike that's not supposed to hit the streets until the next day and if these guys really rode they would of taken the opportunity to check out a brand new exclusive bike instead of trying to be a superheroes.

S1000R holds a special place in my heart as my first ever 1000cc bike back in 2014 and my first BMW. I really loved that bike in bright red. I'm not taken with the looks of the new one so much it's trying to fit in while the previous-gen wanted to stand out, good or bad.

It was not too bad Kate. Liked the view better when it was angled up looking at where you were going than looking at the bar and dash all the time. We know what the bike is like from your squeaks of excitement and enthusiasm. Bike would not be for me though as I like a bit of wind protection. I would go for the XR. 😊😘

Priceless Kate🤣🤣🤣 lads in the garage if only they knew you could handle yourself. I drove around a corner the other day in my truck only to see a biker had fallen over on his 1000RR?. So like the unbelievably nice person I am I held up the traffic and jumped out to help him pick it up. It was on the A49 just past the Fox&Barrel, should he watch your video and read this message? Nice bike Kate.👍By the way the A49 just off the M56/JC10 is a bikers paradise. Nice cafe where all bikers park up for a cup of tea and a chat!!!

Lovely bike Kate was not expecting to see the TFT display or the wonder wheel on a bike like this, but makes total sense. Also I have had my BMW Urban G/S X delivered a few days ago, would have brought it from you but its a bit of a journey for me. £7750 for a 2017 in mint condition at 6K miles with Wunderlich extras, pretty cracking deal off a old retired guy, catch you soon thanks for your review it convinced me to go for it

First of all, you need to understand I'm watching this after the XR 150 launch, and may I say I far prefer your shining natural beauty and unpretentious manner to that of certain of your company on that launch. What an excellent review and I'm sure your bank balance will soon allow you to afford one, as I'm sure many, many sales will be generated as a result of this motovlog. What I like about demo bikes is that usually they are well specked up and make a good used buy that’s why I bought Bowker’s 6 month old F900XR TE demo last year it’s fully loaded and was a grand cheaper than a new one and because of lockdown was low mileage 😀

Well, well, well I've been looking for it on KZfaq. The 2021 S1000R videos on KZfaq. Here I am stateside, riding the 2018 S1000R waiting for the videos to show me what I need to know about the 2021 version of my bike. I worship my motorcycle and am beyond excited about this new version. I have 25,000 miles on my S1000R and it is mind-blowing that it could be better. We likely won't get any of the new S1000R here in the state of Oregon, until fall 2021. It might be the 2022 S1000R by then. I am a bit concerned about the more forward position on the bars, and have heard the pegs might be higher than the bike I ride now. I need the lower seat, which is why I likely have to wait to be able to special order it next year. Thanks for posting. Likely the sport package is what I need as I run forged wheels on my 2018.

Cheers for the upload; as an aside, regarding the guys telling you to be careful - I've had plenty of guys tell me to be careful on my Triumph, and I'm a man. Some people are just worried for anyone on a motorcycle - I try to take it as genuine concern. I don't think my wife (who also rides) has heard that phrase any more or any less than I have.

Earlier today i was thinking have a i missed your videos ?, hoped everything is well and now there you are again with another nice video :) And this time i got the urge to go to my local dealer when summer comes and take a testride just for fun. Never ridden any of the BMW 1000 R models but you make it look like something one must try a warm day on a nice road. Not like i'm gonna trade in the bikes i have but a test run ... :)

First review Ive seen on this model for 21. Really good introduction to this bike, looking forward to your in depth opinion. Why Don't you do a walk around in the showroom with all the lighting etc?? The blokes in the VW probably recognised you and were trying to wind you up lols. Good job enjoyed it.

Bought on spec obvs, but p/ex (Northampton - bit too far from your shop!) an s1000r I've had for seven years so I should have some idea about the new one. Good vid... interesting, I am always a little uncertain about higher seated bikes where i have to spend too much time riding Flamingo at each stop, but this seems very managable.

Nice job Kate, scrubbing in tires and checking out brakes and all other systems before a customer takes it for a test ride. Plus you had fun doing it too. I will not buy a bike from any dealer that does not do a test ride out of the crate after assembly.

I skipped the video to get to the riding segment and it landed right on the part where you were putting the fuel nozzle into the tanks tiny filling hole and saying, 'Does my vagina look like I can't handle it? 🤯I was like wtf?. I had to rewind it and saw the conversation with the guy in the car. Made a lot more sense. I thought I'd wandered too far away from the TMF 😂

Thank you for posting. The first video I have seen of this bike in the wild. Video is an issue, but you know that already. Back in October trying to choose between the RR or wait for the R. I was too impatient so decided on the RR. :) A bit of a difference between the GS line and the S line. :) Going to have to see it in person before I can decide if I like the front.

Is the new suspension like the RR suspension? Does it have digital scanners? 🔧 ⚙️ The old s1000r had to be manually adjusted to get into the electronics operating zone for your weight. It was a total ball ache. I would upgrade for the suspension alone.

1:24 the issue (my issue anyway) isn't that it doesn't look good. It does! My problem is that it doesn't look like a BMW anymore to me. It's kind of generic now. I found a picture of a red/white/blue Grom SP that looks comically similar down to the gold forks. The previous gen with its asymmetrical crazy eyes headlights was distinctly BMW from the front. It just sort of isn't anymore. I am however jealous of those badass black bars and a master cylinder that isn't a plastic cup.

Whats all this issue about handlebar vibrations. Feel like its the only con! People are selling there s1000r’s because of this issue… is it that bad? I was going to buy the 2023 model this week. But decided to wait! I dont want to spend so much money! And «fix» the problem with bar enda for 150 dollar more🤦🏻 it should come fixed in the price!!

Made it through the whole video, on the two lane road it made it kind of interesting. The end was me when I road back in the day, I put a deposit on a new bike today I’ll have to see if I end up still mimicking the exhaust in a few weeks.
