Thats exactly why I made this video. I forgot to mention that I got my money back from WIsh.com Just send them some photos and explain them that your bearings are fake. They gave me my money back after a few hours of submitting my ticket, give it a try :)

@@technolange651 its always worth a try to get your money back, even if you have already used them :) In the worst case you wont lose anything from trying (except a little bit of time)

maybe you dont realize, that fake bones is not bones by definition. I know good China copies, where they copy quality product, but in this case they never mimic and fake brand, they go under own. I know no good copies, where they fake brand/look and can match quality. No large factory will risk doing it, fakes are done by some Uncle Lao street workshop.

For example, there is a good copy of AKG M200, which wird unter der Bezeichnung Superlux HD681 verkauft und outmatches the original in price and sound quality, although not in durability. But it даз но трай ту селл итселф аз AKG. It has to do with production costs, big facilities do not want to risk close downs due to copy-cating in China, this is why they never sell their clones as original. Das gleiche trifft auch auf Lager zu, man kann bei diesen Preisen nicht die entsprechende Materialqualität liefern and when you pay you will essentially support appearance of even more fakes. I have no problem, if China manufacturers sell their bearings and compete under own (quality) brand. Wenn Du gute Stahlager suchst, empfehle ich NTN LLB, NSK VV or SKF RZ instead of fake Bones. They will last remarkably long plus you will not be supporting fake makers making even more similarly named fakes. But if you like fast and easy rolling like myself, I would go to afforable high-end hybrid ceramics, myself using Amphetamine brand, which is around €45 for Silicone Nitride balls instead of Bones, which themself are 1.5 harder than steel balls and much more uniform. They have other problem though, like degrading race tracks - not the balls themself, so those will need replacement over time. Bones is officially selling in USA only, which makes their price/performance not very attractive.

Let me just clear this up real quick, because I didn't post the review video. The fake bearings broke after 2 weeks of skating every day. Sure they look OK on the first glance but that's all, durability is absolutely horrible. Even the shitties bones reds will last way longer than that.

I think I might have just been saved from doing the exact same thing. someone on Marketplace is selling eight for $20. I asked him about the authenticity and he said he wasn't sure because he bought them from a liquidation center. that's probably a bad enough sign right there, LOL

Nice video, I also bought my swiss bearings on Ali Express, they where so cheap that I knew it should be fake, they work just fine so far. A real swiss bearings here in Brazil costs around 200 dollars, so I think I will keep using the fake ones.

thanks for the additional input, I wasn't sure if people would be able to notice this small detail if they only have one fake at home. Also I noticed that the gap between the inner ring of the bearing and the nylon cage is a bit wider on the fake one. Take care :)

Agreed the original retainer has a neat chamfer on the inner and outer ring edge xx

I personally think this is Bones responsibility to deal with it as a company and since you cannot stop fake products being produced in China because their goverment is in on it Bones should make an option on their website where one could type in serial number of a product they bought at the very least for their top products and check if the product is original...

I think you mean the Bones Big Balls with 6 balls right? They tend to accelerate slower wh3n pushing from a full stop but hold speed better with a higher end velocity. I can recommend them for downhill and transition skating, not so much for just slow flatground skating. Make sure to use the correct spacers with them for optimal efficiency. Gonna make a video about it soon 🤪

Just buy from a trusted retailer or your local skateshop. If the tips from the video aren't helping you I dont know how to identify them either, because I never had bones reds ceramic.

That's correct. I can only advise everyone to buy bearings at your local skateshop or an online skate warehouse that you trust. Do not trust any "deals" from non verified sellers.

how would you want the video to be instead? If the box is already faked, why would they contain original bearings? Do you want to see a real riding experience comparison? The fake ones all broke after two weeks of skating :(

Yeah, thats some real Mafia s**t going on there in China. They tried really hard to fool people, hopefully not too many people get scammed.

why do you think so? I have multiple sets of reds, and one of them have shields falling out, they're NOT rubber. Other set is fine. I've forgotten where I got them since I bought them from different places but both were supposed to be 100% legit shops.

That is the safest way for sure. Also its good to support your local skate community by purchasing at the skateshop in your neighbourhood. People living in the countryside, might not have one available locally. That's why I thought skaters might find this information to be useful to them

I have never been sold fakes from real online skate warehouses or local skate shops. only when using some sites like eBay, amazon, wish or other services where a user can just sell whatever they want.

Thats what i thought. Its more of design in santa barbara made in china. Just that the brand owner doesn’t want to reveal it. Just like decks. After the community knows about this, then only they labelled it as price point decks

I can't confirm this information but I can assure you that all the fake bearings broke after two weeks of skating them. I never thad that problem with bearings bought from a local skateshop or online warehouses that I trust. You don't have to trust me but if you want to take the risk then go for it. I am just sharing my experience

@@azrulhafriz3477 Red/Super Reds are made in China but under Bones supervision. Just because something is made in the same factory even doesn't mean it will come out the same. There are wheels poured in the same factory that come out drastically different than each other.... But in ref to this video, "Swiss" bearings are not all made in Switzerland BUT Bones Swiss are actually made in Switzerland, not China.
