My Malibu’s 2.5L is a little quiet for my taste but even for a 4cyl it doesn’t sound bad

One thing about the GM 3.6l it sounds good. I previously had a CTS with the 3.6. It sounded great and revs to 7k

No the Pentastar does sound good. I had a durango, and a town and country with it. They did good with their sound too. I have to say though the GM 3.6l is slightly better sounding and the 7k redline is the icing on the cake. MY old CTS ( sold it) sounded awesome. For a naturally aspirated engine hooked up to the old 6 speed and now the 8speed or 9 speed depending on which car, FWD or RWD the engine is quick. OFCOURSE if you are trying to compare to a twin turbo from audi for example then the engine seems slower. I will give GM credit on this engine though. My CTS had a 150k miles when I sold it and the engine was totally fine. @@Michael-eg3hc

Got a 6th gen Camaro with this lgx v6. 335 hp, 10 speed automatic (same as the mustang transmission) 13.5 quarter mile and 155mph top speed. Now its fbo and some other goodies around 430hp at the crank

@@lukeWiz44There’s no driver skill involved in flooring a car in a straight line. It just weighs a lot that’s why it’s slow. It does the same 0-60 as a honda odyssey minivan 🤣

@@kodakpat5438 It has the same 0-60 time as a 190 hp honda civic that’s a 6 speed manual. A 250 hp honda accord does 0-60 in under 5 seconds.
