I did the something in Michigan. There was one in the counter. The salesman said they just got it that day. Walked around the store, came back to the gun counter about 10 minutes later and a guy just bought it and was filling out the paperwork for his background check! Dang!

Good to see you getting out and shooting it. I picked one up a couple weeks after they released them and have had to send it back to Colt once for them to work out some kinks. I asked the guy I spoke with from Colt about the serial numbers and the difference between the 0 and 2 in the beginning. He told me the reason Colt adds another number in the front of the serial number is because that means there was a change made to the gun. In this case, he said they made a change to the grips on the gun because the ones that came on the 0# guns were tearing. Which they were on mine.. I asked him if the 0# guns were preproduction and he said no. Preproduction guns are designated with an x in the beginning of the serial number. Just curious who you spoke with that told you the 0 numbers were preproduction? Thanks for the video

Hey brother, that’s some great information, it was a colt representative that stated that, I wonder what might have changed between the guy I talked to and the one you did. I’m not saying it’s unheard of, but I don’t see them changing a serial number for an outsourced grip. It could be though, I just don’t see why they’d do that when they could have just done a stamp or something as such like they did with the python. It’s plausible though!

I remember your first review of this revolver and was surprised at the machining marks under the one side plate. I'm glad this one seems to be "better" in quality. I would like to see at least a 500 round single day range test with it to see if it can handle the stress. Thanks for the review.

Thank you brother. I sadly don’t have the ammo or money to run 500 rounds through it just for something to happen or not happen. Plus if something did go wrong, it would probably kill me. I got rid of it not long after this video. Sights wouldn’t stay on point, would keep loosing zero. Was mad, let it go cheap

One of my favorite KZfaqrs!! Love ya! i’m a pretty big fan of the pythons, wish i could afford one. If I could I would definitely get one. The Anacondas are ok in my opinion.

Haha I sure do appreciate that my friend. I actually like the new anaconda more then the new python. The new anaconda was a step up from the old anaconda, the new python is a step if not a few from the old python. That’s just my opinion anyway. The new python is still nice, but not as nice as the old python

@@GoldenWebb Seeing videos of the pythons made in 2020 like yours and Hickok45’s I was like wow I can’t believe it, because a gun that expensive should work really good. CZ should be able to make the pythons produced in 2021 work good. Never had a CZ but seen videos about them. I hope you’re pistol packin’ these days because some people are stupid enough to try and kill anybody they can.

You should get a taurus model 66 and do a review over it and a shooting review, one of my other favorite revolvers. It is a 357 magnum, not expensive only about $500-$550, might even find some cheaper.

I haven’t really been much on Taurus. The new ones are a huge step up for sure. I loved the 85 I reviewed a few years back. I’ll be trying to pick one up to review brother. Thanks for viewing as always!

@@GoldenWebb I can agree with you on some taurus’s, my brother he had a G2C, seems like every time he fired it would jam up, good ammo. I’ve had my Taurus 66 since i think March of this year, i’ve probably put about 50 rounds or a little more through it because ammo is hard to come by these days. But over all it is a pretty good gun! And you are sure welcome for me viewing!

Great video! Five plus pounds in single action is pretty stout for a revolver. Those Colts are beautiful but I’m going to stick with S&W for revolvers.

My AC0 has been great. Much smoother than my Python. Also in single action it has a 3 pound trigger

Colt Anaconda 2021 has a Colt Python 2021action and thicker frame with a 1.9 inch long cylinder for the long loaded Ashley Cartridges of Texas 44 magnum 330 grain hardcast gas-check flat meplat bullet for the deepest penetration and no bullet deformation or breakup.

I’ve got an 8 inch coming in soon. Looking forward to getting it in. Not sure which one I’m going to be more of a fan of. Just keep your eyes open, I looked every day non stop for 2 months to get 4 ordered.

Hey Golden Web. Just wanted you to know I also had to send my Anaconda back to Colt because of a poor fit of the crane to the frame. Also, my rear sights had the set screws missing. I was really disappointed because I’ve been waiting over a year to get this gun. I only had the gun for 10 days when I noticed the issue. Hopefully, Colt will fix the issue. Thanks again.

I wanted to add my Anaconda is an 8” model. The shop where I purchased it from got another 8” Anaconda right after I got mine. I went there to see and examine it to see if it had any similar issues but it looked almost perfect. I guess I was just unlucky to get one which was poorly assembled or maybe it was made on a Monday or Friday? Lol. Hopefully they will fix or replace it.

@@jonbaniak9097 Thanks for the update. I’ve been following it. I’m picking mine up today (8”). I’m a bit worried now after reading yours. If you don’t mind, what is the first two number of the serial. Mine is AC21xxxx. Thank you sir. I hope I don’t have the same issue as what you had. Before buying it, I inspected it with a fine tooth comb….. seems perfect but we’ll see.

Were you able to purchase this gun and the Python at around MSRP, or did you have to pay the insane prices I see everywhere online? I don’t have any gun stores in my area that are Colt dealers, but I’d really like to get one of these for less than $2k.

Thank God my 2021 Anaconda is one of the "AC2" versions. Now, you can give a trigger job to the 2021 Anaconda. I am NOT - - NOT - - recommending anyone try giving a trigger job unless you are 100% sure you know EXACTLY what you are doing. (Remember, if you F--- up the gun, good luck with Colt on fixing or replacing it because you voided the warranty) My Anaconda has around a 3.5 to 4.0 lb SA trigger and a 8 to 9lb DA trigger. The trigger is incredibly smooth.

You can throw that AC2 logic out the window. Mine had a rear sight with serious loose play, sent that back for warranty. They fixed, took 2 months

@@GoldenWebb yes I got it about a week later. Has a beautiful trigger and the tightest lockup I’ve felt on a revolver. Very happy with it

I took delivery of my Anaconda yesterday morning. #AC2239XX. In a nutshell and in my opinion this revolver has no place with the Colt name on it. My inspections of it has shown the cylinder lockup to be loose in rotation and in lateral movement. The SA trigger pull runs between 6.6 and 7.2 lbs with the DA being around 13 lbs. The barrel to cylinder gap is .006 which might be ok for taurus but not for a revolver in this price range. I haven't had it to the range yet but I hope it shoots better than the preliminary exam says it will.

@@GoldenWebb I'll just say that Colt did nothing to resolve any of the issues I described. After several range trips and even putting a scope on it the accuracy capability is really only mediocre. I'm just not impressed. Thanks for asking.

@@125saito you gonna sell it? That’s what I ended up doing with all of mine. Just didn’t think they were worth the money. Only new colt I have left is my first python, it’s the 283rd one made or I wouldn’t have kept it

I thought the new 2021 anaconda were suppose to be better. My 1995 anaconda averages 3 and a quarter to 3 and a half lb trigger pull. What value would you put on it?great condition stainless steel 6 inch barrell thinking of selling it. Its also a 44 magnum with original black grips and gold pony medallions on each side of grips.

@@msgt1942 I see them go from around 15-16 without box and in about a 7/10 condition, about 18 is all their bringing without box though in the 6 inch variant. 4 inch is alittle higher, the most rare is the 5 inch

No, there was alot of them loose from factory. Might need to send it in if it won’t hold an accurate group

@@GoldenWebb I shot it yesterday from 25 and 50 yards. Definitely favors the 240 gr bullets over the 180. Seems to be functioning perfectly. I have a set of Alamont grips like yours. They keep coming loose. Any tips on them?

@@jonbaniak9097 you have to make sure you put the grip screw in the bottom. Colt doesn’t include them with the new anacondas because the grips are the houge rubber grips. Also, the ones you purchase on eBay for the older pythons don’t fit.

@@GoldenWebb I agree and there is way too much space in the grip. This kinda blows a hole in Colt’s claim that all past and current Python and new Anaconda grips will interchange. I think I may try a set of grips from Badger grips if I’m able to return these from Altimont.

It’s a nice Pistol but I think I’d save a little more until I could get a nice used older version. It seems it was rushed through production with all the rough edges. Cool Video and good shooting off-hand. Stay safe and Semper Fi.

My son just graduated in May of this year!! It's a beautiful campus. Richmond is a nice, friendly town. I'm guessing you graduated from the criminal justice program.

It sure is, I enjoyed my time down there. And yessir, got a bachelors in criminal justice and one in policing studies. One of if not the best criminal justice schools and training centers in the US. The police academy next door is where I done my training as well
