Thank you for watching our coverage from the 2021 PDGA World Championships in Utah. This event presented us with our biggest challenge to date as a crew and we simply couldn’t have done it without the support of everyone watching and our Patreon community. We got some things right and we got hard lessons learned that will help us improve. It’s an honor for us to work alongside our sport’s media crews. The amount of commitment and sacrifice to produce the best coverage possible is simply inspirational. The live crew and all of our post-production colleagues inspire us with their unwavering tenacity to continue pushing the boundaries. Most importantly though is the players. Their competitive spirit is the heartbeat of Disc Golf. Just like y’all, we at JomezPro are fans of the sport and we can’t help but live and die with every shot. This final round tested us to our very limits and we couldn’t feel more grateful and privileged to present you with our coverage. We hope you enjoy it. Thank you so much from everyone here on our crew.

YESSSSS! Same happened to me almost a year ago. But yeah, this one was special. I watched from the first round and I have to admit, it was nice but meh. Got to see Conrad's early round ace on Gatekeeper, but I didn't know who he was and he looks a bit funny, lanky, I don't know, vs McBeth he didn't seem like a serious contender. But he made the lead card for the final round. And the rest is history. Couldn't have scripted a better story. And now Queen took the Pro tour championship! What a sport!

This may be remembered for “The Holy Shot” but honestly, maybe one of the best head-to-head 9 holes of golf I’ve ever seen. These guys shot -6 and -7 on a course that has almost no gimmes. Huge kudos to Paul for being the iron that made James elevate his game to the level he had to to win. It will be a long long time before another Worlds finish matches up to this one.

I love playing disc golf. I play at least once a week. In fact part of the reason I bought the property I did was to have space to set up holes but disc golf will never be a major sport. I think it's in a good place and is growing. You just won't be seeing disc golf ever compete with say regular golf.

It's major sport....most of the players want it to stay grass roots, grow without too much corporate money that would discourage the amateurs. The thing about disc golf is that you can turn professional at any age like ball golf. These days to be able to call yourself a professional disc golf is quite an accomplishment, especially for all of us self taught players that learned the trial and error way which can be extremely tedious and frustrating at times but disc golf ALWAYS gives back to you what you put into it, always.
@carlkligerman1981

I think the charm of this game is that it’s a pure sport, built on the obvious passion of a tight community. It may become ‘major’ due to moments like Conrad’s amazing shot and subsequent win, but for mine I hope it’s stays this way. Everything about it is beautiful, and I really love that, unlike golf, this game doesn’t require clearing and totally manicuring the landscape.

Im a 50 year sports fan - I just spent 50 HOURS going down the Disc Golf rabbit hole after watching this random video. I played a few times in the early 90s, and even played once with my hippy uncle in 70s (Frisby target golf he called it. Just marking trees and poles at a city park) -- I HAD NO IDEA this amazing sport was at this level. THIS, by far is the best sport in the world. Exsesable to everyone, super easy to start, incredibly hard to master, great for overall health, and super fun! Buy a few discs, go to a park, and play. Even without baskets. Bring a small whiteboard, agree on targets and boundaries, and Play!

They really did there best here, but there is just no way to express the supernova of emotion that exploded into existence when that shot went in. It was absolute insanity. It happened over 24 hours ago and some of us are still shaking. No one can talk. 1000 people screaming, sprinting wildly, hugging, high fives, it was a magical moment that exists outside normal reality and will never happen again. 10 minutes later James climbed the stairs to the top of the mountain and stood there, silhouetted in the setting sun, like literal Disc Golf Jesus, and everyone knew it was his time. @@elhior23 How is he mistakenly laying up? He’s up by 1 and the only person who’s possibly able to catch him has to throw a blind shot around a corner. He can either take a risky approach and possibly throw OB, almost instantly giving James the win, or he can take the safe route, guaranteeing that he never loses, and forcing James to make an impossible shot. Very rarely is anyone ever going to pull off the shot that Conrad did on 18; it was unfortunate for McBeth, but it was not a misplay. Both players are incredibly deserving of the win, it just happened to go to Conrad this time.

Sometimes I second guess McBeth on his "pedal to the metal" approach, thinking there are some putting situations in which he should lay up. Most often his aggressive approach pays off because he's able to make the come back putt. On 18, he finally does the smart thing. He lays up. If only Conrad had thrown into the basket first, I think McBeth would have thrown to the basket like Jones and Heimburg, and he would have birdied the hole and taken the championship. I thought McBeth handled the set back with class. A thousand screaming fans cheering for Conrad's shot was surely a disappointment after all the work McBeth put into maintaining his one stroke lead. But, that's the name of the game, and to be fair, McBeth has certainly played the role of spoiler in other tournaments. McBeth will live to fight another day.

HOW is this not the most watched video on Jomez's channel?! What an unbelievable round, unbelievable shot, unbelievable playoff. Paul played an insane tournament, forcing someone else to play almost perfect to beat him. And someone DID. Goosebumps watching Conrad finish this round.

Over. The. Top. You all put on a REAL good show this tourney. Not like you usually don't, but I really appreciate the extra story you put into it. Reaching out to other content providers and all... sheesh. You can count on this guy getting into the founders club ASAP!

First time i have seen that reaction of Paul. when James threw it in, Paul didnt smile or laugh, hes jaw just dropped. loved it. the absolutely only correct reaction he could have. to do that on the last hole in the world championship to force playoff is so f... huge!!!!. and compose himself to park hole 16 afterwards for the win

I have seen "the shot" a few dozen times. I've seen the playoff and the acceptace almost as much. I still tear up every time. This is THE Disc Golf highlight, and definitely the greatest sports moment I've ever seen.

That shot though! I only discovered this sport randomly via KZfaq about a week ago, watched a few rounds cause it’s mellow and the scenery is gorgeous, but that shot has to be one of the most amazing athletic feats I’ve ever seen! Conrad’s corner indeed. This is a beautiful sport.

Never have I watched Disc Golf, let alone even Golf. KZfaq once again clutch with the recommended videos, bringing me to this awesome sport I had never even heard of. Watched around 4 hours worth of this and now I’m hooked, what a cool competition and you guys have just gained a new subscriber and fan of this sport. I love KZfaq for moments like these.

Hole 16 wrecked me in the soul. I was pulling for Kevin and Calvin going into the round. It was sad to watch Calvin just kind of give up but my god Kevin Jones getting knocked out of contention for yet another tournament by roll away OB is soul crushing to watch I can’t imagine how he felt.
