👁 About this video : Today we check out the 2021 Dodge Charger Scat Pack! This is a great daily driver because it is a family friendly sedan with tons of storage and drives great! It is also a straight sleeper because it has so much "track" focused features like launch control, and the performance pages tab where you can monitor all of that information. The 2021 Dodge Charger is ready from the factory to drive straight to the drag strip and then drive right home! It's very comfortable to drive as well and has a good sounding exhaust! It's not crazy loud for a daily, but that V8 has a great rumble to it! The interior has nice materials and as I mentioned the tech is great with what you can monitor in the gauge cluster as well as the center infotainment system! There is plenty of room for the rear seat passengers and being able to fold down the backseats makes it that much more practical!

Watching this review cause my 19 y.o. son is in love with this beast. He's been working over a year and I'm helping him manage his money and build credit. I'm worried to put him behind so much horsepower with such a large payment. At the same time, I remember being his age and wanting a GTO with my parents telling me "You buy that car, you can go live in it." Then gifting me a 1993 Nissan Stanza on my 19th birthday and hearing my dad say "I didn't have wheels with a sunroof at your age. It even has a CD player." And cringing when my mom would say "And it's FAST boy!" when in actuality it did 0 to 60 in 2 minutes. Downhill. And that memory makes me say "YOLO Son. Hustle hard and buy this ride!" It's very easy to get into trouble with one of these Scat Packs. If he buys one, be sure the title is in his name so no one can sue you and take your house. Because these are going away after next year, I traded in a Mustang GT for one. And, in my opinion, the Charger 392 has way more cajones--you can chirp the rear wheels without even trying.

Hell, if he works hard for it I'd let him have whatever he wants. I do know as someone whose first car was a V6 charger... If I had a scat pack I'd have gotten myself into a lot of trouble. But then again, I would've gotten myself away from a lot of trouble too, lol.

I say help get son an rt charger , 373 horsepower & the v8 still he’ll enjoy it safely. This scat requires some experience it is easy to wreck

I would recommend starting with something with less hp like a gr86 or something like that. Because he doesn’t have a lot of experience it would be very easy to over estimate its abilities and possibly get into an accident. But if you know he is responsible, then hopefully it’ll be fine😊

FCA has done a great job keeping this aging platform relevant. I think this is the only sedan left with the cup style door handles.

I would agree! Not too many other competitors like this! Having that V8 in a family sedan and the fact that you get still go up in trim levels for more power is pretty cool for the Charger!

Awesome. I am sure you could get out sooner if you wanted. I have 13 months left on my lease (2019 Challenger RT Shaker) and the used car market is so hot that my trade in value will pay off my lease today if I wanted. I could get out free and clear today. Just waiting for leases to get better. Hoping to get in a Scat pack in April or May.

If he cant find it hell order it and itll probably 3nd up being summer when it arrives given everything that's going on. I fo have a lot of equity in it though. I payed 38k almost 7000 off sticker

@@BrosFOURRSpeed The Hellcat does have more top end HP and speed. But given traction, the larger engine and greater low end torque makes the scat pack quicker to the 600ft. mark on the drag strip. For neighborhood blasts, the scat pack has the advantage.

The hellcat has the Widebody, so the fender flares are distinctively different! That's the easiest way to tell!

@@aaronwebster1321 depends. If you daily drive it you can put in eco mode to save some gas. For insurance. It really depends on your driving history. I’m young so my insurance and pretty new in the insurance’s eyes so they charge me $200 per month on insurance

I like the widebody look on this 4 door torpedo. It reminds me of the magnum and the first gen 300. But it increases drag dramatically, and lowers the top speed of the charger. Plus you won't be able to fit through many drive thrus and the tires will be very expensive

And this isn't even the wide body that they offer! This isn't that big of a vehicle to go through drive thru's, there shouldn't be any issues for that! The charger is a sweet family sedan!

I just wished that dodge updated the aging platform and design of the car and added new tech from their trx like the bigger uconnect5 screen, their hud, their rear view camera mirror, and a new keyfob

Depends on your budget and what you'd rather have! The scat pack is fun, but of course the hellcat is much quicker! If you find a great deal on the hellcat, I'd probably get that because it's "cooler"!

The biggest difference is the Charger is a 4 door sedan and the Challenger is a 2 door coupe (with back seats).. So just depends if you want that extra space having the 4 doors if you use the rear seat room a lot, if you have kids or just use them more.

I drive mine on weekends my civic during the week love my scat but my civic is more swift in heavy traffic. Another thing is these scat pacs get attention like u driving a lambo. It gets irritating people always walkin up talking bout my scatty and pretty she is.

Pretty much all automatic cars that are sporty have paddle shifters. You just click the button and the car shifts. Its still an automatic, you just get to hold the gears better then letting the computer determine when it will shift
