I began following the PDGA tour last year just as the pandemic began. Yesterday while watching the live coverage I realized how invested I've become in this sport. 20 + years ago I played a bunch while living in Portland Or., but only sporadically since then. Now I'm pushing 50 and I might end up in physical therapy if I go out and start chucking it around. But I digress. I've loved sports my whole life. I grew up in western NY and was a Bills, Sabres, Yankees, and Celtics fan. I was 9 when the Yankees lost to the Dodgers in the World Series. I did not cry. I was 14 when the Celtics lost to the Lakers in the finals. No tears. A few years later I got to watch the Bills lose the big one 4 times in a row. I held it together. Fast forward to the early 2000's and the Yankees blow a 3 game lead in the ALCS. To the REd Sox no less. Dry eyed once again. (I mean it was about time they got one). When Ricky threw in on 16 I totally lost it for a minute. Hell I'm tearing up now just thinking about it. That's how much I love all you guys. There's no "villain" to root against. Great idea, but you have no idea how difficult that would would be on post-production, 12 hour turnaround coverage. Basically would take a dedicated person who's only job is to do that

Sure was and a great insight into his mentality. If you really think about what he says, he’s basically telling himself that his putting hasn’t gotten worse, all other aspects of his game have gotten better to the point of overshadowing his great putting ability. That’s clearly not true as he says himself that he’s been working on but even so, it’s an excellent way to not let yourself get down about losing some skill ability for a while

Every event, you guys step it up. The coverage was a joy to watch. The heartfelt segment for Ricky and his family was apropos without being overbearing, and they are genuinely loved. Getting to bookend the amazing play of the final round lead card with that and P McB's interview was better than watching live (which I also did). Big Sexy Bari lifted the bar even more, with Nate's cutting (trees?) wit, Jerm's good nature, and Uli's everyman timeless Primeguy goofs. Just the best. And Paul's win? Stellar. -42. SubZero, for real. Congrats go out to Eagle, Chris Dickerson, Calvin (thanks for signing my Rhyno in Charlotte!) Heimborg, and Ricky, for showing power and finesse and grace. Nate, really great to have you back on coverage. The commentary was the right mix of covering the action and having a laugh. Big love for Jerm and Uli but sometimes it can get a bit silly and you keep them straight 😜. Jomez has by far the best graphics and I love having the current position on the scorecard. Would it be possible to name whoever has come through from the case card on the graphic. Would have been cool to see Paul quietly storm the leaderboard during round 3.
