Great video. That truck is Wicked Pissah Cool. Those led lights are very nice. I have a 2013 xlt ecoboost. I often tell the joke calling it the ego boost🤣

I think the XLT with the 302a package is more my jam. I’d just custom order mine with the 5.0 and the big trailer tow mirrors. And yes, I agree that they should put the 4A option in XLT. Heated steering in XLT would be nice too as this IS Canada.

Totally agreed, I think Ford didn't add those options because then there really wouldn't be a big difference between XLT and Lariat but maybe in their next redesign!

Taking delivery of my new 2021,Lariat 3.5 Turbo tomorrow. Had a 2016 Lincoln MKX 2.7 Turbo, traded in on the truck. I was shocked at how smooth and quiet the ride is. It might be equal or better than the Lincoln. Heading north tomorrow, really looking forward to driving it..

A lot of that 'no charge' equipment is extra here in the US. I configured this exact truck on the US configurator and it came to just over $60,000 so you guys up north seem to be getting a better deal than we are. However, I think Ford dealers in the US do a lot more discounting, so it is possible to negotiate a price far below MSRP, depending on the dealer.

@@6ixthGear Actually changed my options up a bit... switched to the 502A high package and stuck with just the sport 4x4 now... still no VIN from the dealer yet.

Really frustrating to see that the options cost a bunch more in America where the truck is made. In the US this is a $65,000 truck the way it’s loaded . For example : In the United States 502A is over $6000 in America and here it’s $4200 Canadian , which is less llano it 3k in American dollars . That’s half the price . Really great to see Ford sticking to their own customers

What’s the differences between an XLT sport 302A and the lariat sport 502A?

Leather, wider running boards, touch entry, rear heated seats, LEDs.

One main difference is the leather for sure. A 502A will have leather, heated and cooled front seats, a heated steering wheel, power adjustable steering column , heated rear seats, a full 12-inch digital instrument cluster, power folding mirrors, 4WD Auto, LED taillights and full LED bending front headlights.

The difference is absolutely night and day as far as creature comforts and joy of ownership goes. The Lariat is your best value trim in an F-150. If money is a non-issue, go get the King Ranch.

Like many said the leather tops the list. I went with an XLT Sport recently and that is the one thing I compromised on. I do not like the Sport Cloth seats...better than standard cloth but with them being black they just pick up everything. They also had to be cleaned one time because they became discolored due to staining from...get this...rainwater. It was pouring one day and the seats got really wet when I was getting in and out of the car. Seats were stained by the rainwater. If I was a rich man I would have got a Lariat. But the XLT had everything I needed less the leather and they took a boatload off the MSRP with all types of dealer & factory rebates. I paid substantially less than invoice. I would have been a fool not to take the deal. I've thought about getting Katzkin aftermarket leather but ill wait until I really cannot stand the cloth anymore. I am barely in the truck anyway due to working from home during the pandemic. Its like the XLT just misses on the items I want but the Lariat goes a bit too overboard. I wonder if Ford will ever have leather in an XLT.

Drove both and went for the 2.7 you can not tell the difference between the engines (maybe different when towing)

Depends what you’re going to be using the truck for. City/highway driving with a little bit of towing, 2.7L all the way! 3.5L Hybrid motor I would get for more city and highway too, it also has good towing capacity. I would get the 5.0L or 3.5L with more towing and more highway driving.
