I remember seeing the ambulance but had no clue somebody got bit. Not too smart walking without a headlamp in that territory, especially right after the peak season. Great video man!

I think at the time he got bit it wasn't that dark yet, just that twilight stage that you don't really need a light. After this I think everyone was using their lights the next three nights. It probably helped save someone from getting bitten during the rest of the hike. Thank you for your comment.

@@CHARLESCRANFORD I was told that it was probably an adult Copperhead and that there wasn't any venom injected and the person bitten was fine. It was some older tall guy with a cane, they weren't sure the guys name. Yes sir your welcome, enjoyed the video!👍

@@12STONESADVENTURES The guy was at the dinner party Saturday night. I am not sure his real name but his trail name is now "Snake Bite". I got video of the puncture wound that night. I talked to him and his wife and they were both in good spirits. He says he will try again to hike the spring hike.

How did I miss the whole snake bite thing??? I didn't have a clue. I enjoyed the thru hike, and this video brought some things to memory... like Karen telling Shane that she would see us at the 5 mile marker. Shane drank the last of his water at the 4 mile marker...then it was closer to the 6.5 mile marker before we saw a soul! Shane starts screaming, "KARRREEENNNNNN!!!!" in the middle of the woods. So that became the joke of the trip. Someone would trip over a root, "KARRREEEENNNNN!!!!" Someone would slip on a wet rock, "KARRREEEENNNNN!!!!" Good times! We also had the conversation about the fact that I was NOT going to be doing the whole "walk by' shots. I knew that I would be struggling to get the 40 miles in, much-less any extra! My videos from this trip will have a little fun with that... LOL! Enjoyed the video and getting to meet you out on the trail!

I was at the fire, when someone came up and told us that the snake bite had happened and warned us to use our lights and keep a look out for snakes. That one "walk by" shot was the only one of the trip, they just add too much mileage. I still have to edit the other days videos. I think, on the third day, Shane was going to skip the last two miles and take the shuttle, until I came and joked with him about it. That might have to be a separate video. It was a nice surprise running into the four of you guys, on the first day. Shane was a fish out of water, or should I say a boater trying his best to be a backpacker. I enjoyed your trailer that you made and I am looking forward to seeing the videos that you make. I will definitely see you out on the trail.

@@CHARLESCRANFORD Ha! I just realized that I commented from my personal channel! It was actually Billy, with 12 Stones that made the awesome trailer. I am still learning this new editing software that I started using.Not as good at it as Billy! I haven't even pulled my cameras out of their bag yet. Last week was busy at school with getting started on our fall competitions...but hey...my kids own their County Forestry contest!
