The final showdown of the 2021 @Freeride World Tour was certainly one for the books. The level of riding at the 'Petit Bec' was out of this world, as the best freeride snowboarders and skiers set their eyes on the overall freeride world tour title.

Elisabeth Gerritzen had the best run by far that cliff drop was awesome. Deserved the overall win. Navarro just went beast mode

I admittedly fast forward through all the women's runs. The men's runs are _always_ soooooo sick!!! Miss seeing Markus Eder but, damn, these athletes are amazing!! The only thing similar to an extreme free ride in my parts (NH, USA) is The Tuck (Tuckerman's Ravine, Mt. Washington, White Mountains, NH, USA).

Can someone explain why there is such a massive difference in men and women freeride? Does strenght play a big part in this sport?

have you watched any women sport compared to mens sport? not trying to be sexist but they are almost always played "slower" so yes to answer your question it 100% comes down to raw strength.

well in this case body weight is a significant factor to how fast you travel down a steep slope, laws of physics and all. So I'd say that has something to do with it, as well as raw strength

You have no idea what those woman are doing up there. They would eat any man alive. Strength is the factor, plus life preservation! If you thing that you are really good on skis put another 3 times more balls and that's where those woman's are!
