With a 3 cylinder petrol engine and two gearbox options, Honda have enabled the Civic to be eco friendly whilst looking and performing very sporty too. Totally in love with the colour, it's incredible. 3 cylinder though? Come on Honda, no less than 4 please!

love these but sad to see there's now only 1 engine option, great review as always, Honda have been a lifetime love for me.

The small engine thing is definitely future proofing, soon enough the Civic will be electric. 😀

I am going to test drive one next weekend, has the 1.0 auto got plenty of poke? I am also considering a Golf GTI or GTD, Ford Focus ST Line X 182ps. What would you recommend, this will be a second car but need something that is reliable, enjoyable to drive. I've seen a few Civic 1.0 on autotrader with a lot less mileage than the focus and more so with the Golf that are both around the 67 to 68 plate. I'm just a bit hesitant in plowing a lot of money into Golf with over 50k miles on the clock as I'll probably start forking out a few yrs down the line.

Been a fan of Honda for longer than I can remember, and while this looks like a Honda (its lovely) I just can't forgive it for that gutless engine and CVT GEARBOX!! Erggggh. Nice in every other way though :(

Before I drove this one, I'd have agreed that CVT was bad. But, surprisingly, it was actually alright. Not as good as a manual, but as CVT's go, pretty good.
