I had just completed my first worthwhile animation and was surprised (shocked, worried, horrified) that OpenToonz had no built-in way to render it as an MP4. Cannot thank you enough for this very clear and helpful video.

I got everything installed just fine thanks to you! One thing though, my animation plays just fine in the program, but exporting it seems to make the timing just a little bit off. Is there a way to compensate for that in the export settings?

The software opentoonz itself complicated,, I say , it's the worst software ever. I mean what can you expect when you see "free and open source" Title tag 😂 other open source Softwares are just fine,, but opentoonz is a trashcan lol

Late but I think i found a way. Go to ‘render’ at the top, press ‘output settings’ look in the ‘file settings’. By default its ‘tiff’ but if you set it to ‘avi’ it saves it as a video.

@NobleFrugal I appreciate that you made a tutorial on this. I use a MacBook Air and I wasn’t able to fill in the blanks to match what you were doing. I looked up three other tutorials - 1 video and 2 articles - and things got even worse. I’m not sure if they are out of order or there’s a new name for certain parts. Is it possible for you to demonstrate the process on a Mac from start to finish? I would really appreciate it.

hey um i have a glitch where after i exported my drawing (ye i know here is animation but i use opentoonz so it dosent change anything),every of my white area's (exept backgroud) are transparent
