👁 About this video : Today we check out the new 2021 Kia Forte GT with the 6 speed manual transmission! This is a fun smaller size sedan that has some great features! It comes with blind spot, lane keeping assist and a few more features! There are two different engines options to go with, the 2.0L or this 1.6L turbo! And you can get it with a manual! That makes this a fun car to drive, it's super easy to drive, the clutch pedal is light and it's easy to find the gears! I love the steering wheel with the leather and red stitching! All of the other red accents go well with the blue exterior and I love the color combo! This car has plenty of room and would be a great daily driver, with the back seats folding down, that gives you a lot more versatility! The infotainment system is straight forward with everything you need! The driving experience is great with the upgraded suspension, it handles well for this type of vehicle!

How reliable would you think they would be cause I drive far distances every day so 150k to 200k km comes quick! So would u say they would go that far without issue

@@e4300 I challenge you to find a better bargain especially with the GT2 package trim...I vowed all my cars would be AWD but after driving and researching... this hands down was worth going with just front wheel drive...and depending on rebates and the dealerships you may be close to that 4 grand off.

I was honestly shocked to see they had a manual on the lot, so I jumped on doing a review on this! Kia has been killing it and it's awesome to see them being one of the few to still offer it! Glad you are enjoying it!

Have one of these rented on Turo for trip next week, I have literally driven everything from exotics, to muscle cars new and old, to luxury..and I am actually looking forward to driving this car, for what it is..6 speed as well.

I have this exact car. 2021, 6spd, same color. Had it for 15 months now and I still love driving it. For the love of God, though, make sure the Sport mode is on. What a world of difference. Also cool to hear how the exhaust sounds from the outside. I could always kinda tell that it probably sounded decent from the outside but being the driver I was never really sure. I love this car. My lease is up in Dec 2023. I hope they still offer a manual transmission by then.

This was a very nice color! I'm a sucker for blue cars! It was a very smooth shifting car, no complaints with that and the pops in the exhaust, I didn't expect to hear that!

How did you like the sound system? Looking for a car in this class and have been looking at the Elantra N-line, but want to make sure the sound is good because I enjoy music on my drives, and love the value this car provides. Any rattling with loud volumes and deep bass?

The fact the you can get a manual and a sunroof is a major bonus these days. And as a long time Honda fan, the old school hand brake makes it a buy for me over the civic. Kudo's to KIA.

Kia has definitely come out with some great cars in the last few years and honestly I would get this! As a fun commuter type car, it's sporty and the manual makes it fun for sure!

@@BrosFOURRSpeed Indeed. I almost got giddy seeing the 3 old school combo of a manual, sunroof, old school center ebrake. Most makers today who offer a manual do not offer a sunroof which is a shame. In the 90's - 2000's it was almost the norm. Thanks to Kia for keeping this really small percentage of the buying market alive.

Ordered myself a Cerato GT 2021 Snow White Pearl. Cat wait to get by end of January. Sadly tho as i live in Australia, we dont get sunroof and our exhaust is not sports tuned. Only sports tuned is steering and suspension. Nonetheless, i test drive one and ordered right away, its a beautiful car.

I got mine! Lol. Love it. Automatic though. They didn't have the manuals at the dealership. I can switch it to drive "manual" but that just seems so fake to me without the clutch. 😂 nonetheless I love my gt

Really like the red stitching to go with the black leather. I noticed most vehicles reviewed have Michelin tires. I want your opinion, do you think they are among the best riding tires or are they over priced?

The interior was very nice, along with the red accents on the outside! I think they are great tires! With tires you get what you pay for, they are probably some cheaper brands that are good too, but I've run those on my cars and they are great!

Depends on if the GT has some features that you are missing or want and the deal on trading it in or buying! It's a great time to sell a car now, but buying is a different story, so if you can find a deal and want to do it!

So all of you who own one: How do you like (love) it? I'm VERY impressed that KIA has made the GT Manual the top-of-the-line Forte for 2022 (manual AND leather, yay!), and so am eyeing this as my next car.

So far I love mine (got it in October and have 3k miles on it so far). Only thing I notice is my (big) foot sometimes rubs on the brake pedal while shifting. But that could just be I’m used to a 30year old truck with more foot space. Aside from that I love it, had to get used to being so low compared to a truck, but again just me. All in all I’m loving it.

Oh it’s very funny how similar that is to my 2020 Kia Soul six speed manual. Same window controls, similar (very very similar) gauge cluster, same USB and 12 v outlets, same gear shift nob, same way To put in reverse. Conclusion. I have a forte GT shaped liked a brick.

Seems like a nice transmission. Easy to use. Nothing fancy but I had no complaints. I didn't get quite up to 60, But I'd assume mid 2k

@@BrosFOURRSpeed Thank you for your response. Though you did not really answer my questions. And mid 2K at 60MPH really suck as far as I am concerned. It translates to unnecessary high fuel consumption on a straightaway. However, your reviews are nice. Keep it up. You have my vote. 👍

At 60 I believe I run ~2.5k rpm. 80mph is ~4K rpm.

@@BrosFOURRSpeed 1:18 is a good one. Right above the passenger fog light there is a circle cut out of the blue frame. Maybe a sensor?

@@crisbowman That's the cover for the tow hook anchor! Most cars have a design like that, unless the automaker uses inside the grill somewhere.

@@mileslynch Yea mainly to try and be one of the first with it. Seeing everyone having issues with them now, Im glad it didn't work out, but hate that I sold a great car for it.

It's a very nice color for sure! Shows off a lot of the lines it has!! The Kia Forte is a cool small sedan!

European countries get the Ceed, which comes in a hatchback and a wagon. However, Kazakhstan and Russia get both the Ceed and the Forte.

The Ceed is only available in Europe, Russia, Turkey, Israel and South Africa. Other countries including Russia get the Forte. The second generation got self parking, back in 2013, and yet Rolls-Royce are yet to have this feature.

Probably about the same! In an economy vehicle like this, it's going to have a light clutch and normal feeling shifter!

I test drove that car yesterday. The cons. 1) there is alot of rev hang. 2) the shifter is to far from your right hand. 3) it's not a short throw shifter so... that may feel bad to some. 4) it has summer performance tires. I needed all seasons. 5) 1.6L turbo instead of a 2.0?

I'd say the only real con from your points would be the rev hang, maybe a tune could fix that! The shifter felt like it was in a normal spot to me. I wouldn't expect it to come with a short shifter since it's an economy vehicle and not a sportscar. But overall it's a nice little car for those looking for something like this.

Honestly the shift feels fine to me. Though to me it is a “short throw shifter” since I drove (daily and still drive occasionally) a truck with the last throw into fifth a full arms reach away.

Again, too narrow and tall , no wide flair to look at. It’s just too ordinary. All cars have a “ First Glance Look 👀 “ This does nothing for me, no matter how much you dress up the interior.

That's not the purpose of this car though, it doesn't need to be wide and aggressive looking. It's an economy car, pretty basic with the simple features you need. It's not suppose to be a challenger wide body lol, different market for this car!

@@BrosFOURRSpeed No, it’s a 6 speed manual with loud exhaust sports car dressing tires & wheels with air intake for cooler braking and engine. It’s not an “ Economy Car “ No way, it’s a GT .For the money it might be ok, but its I bit stiff , that a non GT wouldn’t have.

@@Braglemaster123 This is Kia taking an economy car and making it a bit more sporty looking, they aren't trying to make it a sportscar. There are other manufacturers like Mercedes and BMW that make actual sport sedans with performance.

Hey Richard, I bought this car a month ago and agree with you. This video keeps talking about all the room inside. No. There is no room inside. Another review talked about how impressed the were with the car’s interior “minimal design.” That’s the nice way of saying it’s plain. I owned a 2019 Optima before this and wish I wouldn’t have traded. Can’t wait to get rid of the Forte.

The person who buys “This" car likes Taco Bell more than chipotle, thinks sketchers are as good as Nike, and uses the pep boys aftermarket aisles to customize their cars. And Oh. Dare I say it... they’ll pick Burger King fries over McDonald’s too lol
