My favorite style out of all the cars in this realm . Love it. Had 2017 is350 and have 2020rc350 right now. 2 of the best cars out there period. In the car buisness as well. Lexus is and rc’s get a 10/10 IMHO

@@ald5626 performance wise, you downgraded. That RC sure is beautiful but it is a boat. The IS 350 walks it easily. I had the 2007 IS 350, 2008 GS 350 and now the 2014 IS 350 f sport. My wife has the 2018 RC 350 f sport. All the IS and GS that I have owned murders the RC. My wife's previous car, although it was a lease, was a 2014 f30 335i M sport, that was a stunning car performance wise. Wouldn't buy it though. Lease wise, phenomenal.

nallis01 to me the f sport packages are to die for, love them. Rc is much more my fancy. Is was awesome but found my love effortless with rc. 2021 is 350 is for sure something I would go for. Lexus is awesome haha

@@caidee depends on your definition of best. Do you want a car that will break the bank in maintenance later in its life or a 2 second quicker car. BMW has a better interior I'll give it that. This is coming from a ex BMW owner as well

i think they NAILED IT with the design inside and out. but if i were in charge of it i would’ve made it what everyone wants. i would’ve put the new IS on the same platform as the LS and LC, i would then get rid of the 2.0T and the de-tuned V6 and make the 350’s V6 the base motor. i then would bring back the IS-F and offer it with the 5.0L V8 AND the twin turbo V6 from the LS and put the 10 Speed Auto in both engines. Lexus can you hire me now?

Why put it on the LS platform? That’s a whole different class of its own, the point of the IS from the start is sport compact sedan. As for getting rid of the 2.0 Id have to disagree on that as even though the V6 boasts more HP the 2.0 offers more torque for it being turbocharged which you will for sure feel, plus definitely a tunable engine. Can easily get a reflash on the ecu and make more power.

No they won't hire you because your choices are terrible. They're "cool" but terrible really. Every single other competitor starts with a base 2.0T, because of low end torque and good MPG. You go with the 2GR V6, which has more than 50 more horse power (311) than its competition (250-260 in C300, 330i, A4 etc.). Then, you offer the ISF with two choices of motors, which is already pretty nonsensical. Both those powertrains would make around 400-500 horsepower. You're splitting an already-slim market. Not many people buy C63/M3 class of car, yet you decide to offer TWO options? The clear choice is to make a proper 2.0T, ditch the 2GR (it belongs in the ES 350 or my Camry, not a compact sedan). And whether it's a V8 or a TT V6, doesn't matter. But both makes just no sense.

YEEEESSS!! Much much better video buddy!! This one definitely gets a 9 out of 10 from me!! Thank you for showing more emphasis on the new integrated daytime running lights and the new rear light bar... The only reason ya didn’t get a 10 out of me was because you always used the shifters when pushing it, rather than the Sport + mode with its own transmission shifts which downshifts to help rip through corners without all that wheel squeal... And, it would have been amazing to see how the actual brake lights look with the new light bar, particularly in the day and nighttime settings... I saw one clip before where it looks like the super small “L” edges are the only thing lit in the daytime, and that would look horrible if that’s accurate... But, couldn’t tell from this video... No matter what, thank you for revamping of your video showing a first drive of this vehicle... Overall, great job!! HIGH FIVE!! 😎🙌🏼

I think they nailed the design but you made a mistake the RWD has an 8-speed auto, it's only the AWD car that comes with the 6-speed, just thought I should point that out.

311 HP to be exact and you can turn off the beeps on the HVAC through the options menu. I’m surprised you don’t like this iteration of their spindle grill. I feel as though this time around (including the LC and UX) they finally have a refined version of it. In comparison to the new M4 and M3 grill I would take this any day.

Lmao , same old boring engines from 2006 . Do you think going 0-60 in 5.5 seconds is still big in 2021 ? The new Acura Type-S will smoke this car in every department except maybe the interior department by a slight margin .

@@NEPALESE.AMERICAN A base TLX is near the same territory as a IS350 F Sport. The interior is night and day comparison, the fit and finish, the Acura is a downgrade from an Accord touring. And only 40 HP more than the IS. Plus the type S will be in the 50k territory. At that point, getting a RC350 F sport is an option. We will have to see but from the looks of it, if you are really going after 0 to 60s, you'd be better off with the M340i and thats just no feasible for me, im after reliability, comfort, and sporty handling.

If you want more power, they are making an is500. 5.0 V8. Basically an ISF but newer interior.

Exterior is definitely on par with 3, A5, Giulia, XE if not better and the interior is still usable but yeah not great but the rest is still decent outside of the motor

That grill is delicious. Leave it alone. That red interior looks like a lighter shade than the older models though. Could just be the color grading on your camera. I like the red in the previous one better. That powertrain is a bit dated and the fuel economy is actually pretty abysmal. I love the car though.

Really a big fan of this new look. I own a 2018 Lexus IS300 FSport currently and I would prefer the rear of my car on the new one. Not a big fan of the rear look but overall amazing.

My 2016 IS 350 fsport lease is up in a couple months and need to decide my next car. Although I love Lexus, and their reliability, I'm leaning towards the new G70 from Genesis just from a $$ to horsepower and features comparison. The only other car I'm considering is a used (2016-2017) Lexus RCF as the cost is close and love the V8 sound. A heavier, more gas thirsty option but I feel the RCF is under appreciated by those European snobs, and can it maintaining its value. Should I test drive this 2021 IS as well? It's almost too familiar for me. Thoughts?

The 2GR V6 is better than a 2.0T purely for that sound at 9:08 and 10:58. This is the AWD model so it has 6 speeds (8 speeds on the RWD model) but it's still a good transmission and it shifts quick enough in manual mode when you're flooring the gas pedal.

@@OldCarsAreFun I owned the first gen and by now it’s dated, 2nd gen and 3rd gen is really timeless.. i feel like it will always be nice no matter what. It’s just done so right! Once they get cheaper i would still buy another as a back up car for work since I drive far. If you compare this to 3 series, c class (they date so fast and it looks meh in 5 years) Edit: mainly speaking of the interior

@@CoupeDominic The IS has better exterior and interior than BMW 3 series. When I sat inside the 3 series of the 06 to 11 era the interior and build quality was terrible and nowhere near Lexus. Even my Toyota Camry at the time had better interior materials and fit/finish compared to BMW 3 series of the same era.

My 15 IS350 has just the right amount of Rioja Red.. This is too much for my taste..overkill imo.. but love the revised tachometer and 12inch touchscreen..great job on the revised grille as well 👍🏾

I have the current gen one and I just wished they changed the center console. It’s the only part of the car that seems a tad antiquated to me and I’m sad to see it make a full return here. Other than that, can’t complain, my ownership experience has been very positive.

Nice with some of the updated design features and some overdue interior options (Car Play, etc.) but a big let down on the Engine performance as 311 HP just won't cut it anymore. Hope they gambled right with the SUV's. I'll be trading in my 2017 IS350 next year. Don't know why I wasted my time waiting for the new design.

I dont understand why people dont like the grill, I own a nx300 fsport and the grill makes the car everything it needs to be to look aggressive and sporty.

Same interior except for the circular vents and Navi screen , so disappointed that there is still a hump on the right side next to the gas pedal that’s what made me trade my 14 is350 gets to uncomfortable after driving for a bit. They did do a great job on the exterior.👍🏻
