Its is still possible to differentiate new gen s-class e-class and nrw gen c-class jus by seeing looking at the headlight, the S has have triple pod healoghts, the E has two pods headlight and the C has single pod headlight....

Yes it is, but I would rather have a more distinctive signature for each car. Especially the lower end trims with the multi-pod LEDs don't stand out the way the lights of the E-Class always have, across generations.

Looks like a stretched A Class "limo" not a shrunken S class. Has lost its stately appeal and appearence. Those black plastic inserts in the steering are a nightmare to maintain esp when in high touch areas - will be a scratch magnet.

Yes, I'm worried, as always, about the piano-black inserts. The new S-Class has a similar design on the outside now, so the E will come across as a shrunken S-Class by next year. But I think the car needs to lose that diamond grille...

I'm on the same page as Rohit when it comes to the steering wheel, I mean come on! An AMG line without the new AMG steering wheel? It's like taking away the macho from AMG interior.

Yes, though it is all done to make a common parts bin between the variants and achieve as much localisation as they could to keep prices in check. But at 95 lakh, I would want that AMG wheel...or Merc should at least offer it as an option for those willing to pay.

The projector setup is on the E 350 d seen here, but not on the lower trims.

Should be an option to have a conventional Merc grill. This one does not suit the stately nature of the car.

Well the conventional grille is available on the lower trims and one should be able to get it, just the same way one could upgrade to the diamond grille on any Merc sold after 2013

97 lakhs for a car which used to cost 60 lakhs 4 - 5 years ago!! With reliability issues, no autonomous driving no radar cruise control, shit car, even my 6 years old car has four wheels and a steering and does almost everything this new e class does! 😂

How is the thigh support in the rear seat for someone who is close to 6 ft? The entire review seems to be directed at driving pleasure, the last reason for most people to buy this segment

It’s really good and you’ll get more comfort in 220d or 200 as they get a smaller alloy size by an inch and higher profile also GC is more in them if you are specifically looking it for chauffeur driven

the newer e class exterior is a let down compared to its 3 or 4 gen old ones. It doesnt look elegant it use to look. Now its all sporty trendy type. - By someone who owns an 2012 e class

You should refuse to review diesels. All companies have been lying about emissions and have paid fines globally.

@@abhijeethivarekar1211 Well that isn't true. Those who lied have been fined. In fact, the current crop of diesels from Mercedes-Benz are one of the cleanest ever. And if we are talking about harmful emissions, well, we should all just stop driving and buying ICE altogether and move to electrics...but wait they are zero-emission only at the tail pipes...

The 4-cyls are for those who aren't ever going to drive the car. For the chauffeur-driven type, that performance is more than enough.

If you heard me carefully, I meant to that the sleek bodywork, the tapering roof and the sharper nose and tail give it a four-door-coupe "silhouette"...I never called it a four-door-coupe. Hope that clarifies it...
