The 2021 Mercedes-Benz navigation system has come along ways, especially when comparing it against its predecessor. The previous NAV was extremely out of date and complicated to operate. Now with the implementation of Hey Mercedes, you can now speak to the vehicle like a friend. Asking for directions, gas stations, airports, and much more seem almost too easy. Not only is the voice commands system by far one of the best integrated tech advancements from Mercedes in a long time. It also has a responsive 12.3" TOUCHSCREEN display. Thank you Mercedes! We've all been waiting for this for too long. As if it couldn't get better, the screen works flawlessly. No glitches, lag, or shortcomings thus far. All in all Mercedes-Benz put together a terrific Navigation system that in my opinion...is unrivaled. After watching this in depth guide you should have a better idea on how to operate key functions to maximize your experience. The pinch/stretch zoom in/out is a pain!, much easier and more precise when it was a wheel, especially when driving.

I have a 2022 450 GLE and I don't like the navigation system at all. Who needs bells and whistles when it cannot do basics. When I save destination as a favorite, I cannot give it a name. So I have dozens of destinations as Federal Highway with no name. Also, I found the wheel on my 2013 Mercedes easier to use than my fingers.

Thanks Gary, Just returned from a long trip in my new 2023 E 450 Cabriolet. What can I say. I like the compass display a lot. Is there any way to make the display box smaller? Also, any way to show the compass display in the screen above the steering wheel? Not just the Cardinal points.

Garrett - I just picked up a 2021 GLC 300. But when it does not have the NAV system!!!! When I asked my sales rep what was up with that, he said that MB quit including the nav system with the car and to use the Carplay. I don't always want to use Carplay but would like to have access to a nav/map system. is there a 3rd party that can provide that? Thanks

The navigation system in my e450 announces turns to late and doesn’t announce if the address will be located on the left or right side as it did in my 2020 e450. Which makes me have to make u turns to get back to the turn location and pass the address because I’m not sure of what side of street of the location because street numbers are not always visible.

A key piece of functionality if you drive an electric vehicle is knowing that for any destination you choose to travel to that you will be able to return home, ie the ability to navigate a round trip. Picture the scenario you have 160 miles of range and you travel to a destination 100 miles away. You then say take me home it discover there are no chargers close enough for you to charge. Now this is something I have had in other cars I have owned for the last 10 years but unless I'm missing something this ket feature seems to be missing in my EQC... Does anyone know how to do this or is it simply the case that Mercedes abandons you and you have to resort to google to figure it out yourself?

I am having trouble, when I am running navigation with voice responses my radio volume will not shut off so I am hearing the radio and the navigation at the same time. I’m sure it’s a simple problem but I have been unable to come up with a solution, can you help?

you can turn off or adjust the radio sound by pressing the Controller right next to the Touch Control Panel, (right upper button)

Hey, Suddenly I am facing one issue , I don’t know what I changed and it’s causing the issue . What’s not working now : When we exist highways then MBUX maximises which exit I should pick up , like , if they are 2 lanes existing then left one or right one , then one which I should pick up becomes dark blue . But suddenly it stopped showing /highlighting the appropriate lane . I don’t know how do I get it back . Please guide if you could . I am using E Class 2022

I am told this navigation cannot be installed in a 2010 E Class. As far as I know this navigation is only suitable for 2020 and newer.

You do not have to wait for the prompt. You can simply say Hey Mercedes and continue to talk.

I tried this on both 2021 GLC and A class. It worked on the A but not on the GLC. Any idea how to get it on the GLC too ? Maybe update ? Or is it just on cars the have the connected dual screens, because the GLC has full cluster but i can only get the map in the small speedometer

also what the hell does highway information mean, is there a link to a site where outlines all the options and what they do, owners manual doesnt go into all the details.

While driving on the highway, gas stations, rest stops, rest areas and highway exits are displayed along with their immediate distances from the current vehicle position. Unfortunately there is not a site yet that outlines this information (that I know of). Hopefully in the coming months I will have a site up and running to provide this information.
