Hahaha I know people who say that sound totally uneducated. If it couldn’t go on the interstate it wouldn’t be legal in the US lol. It can easily travel at 70 mph no issues even on hills and mountain passes and can travel at 80 mph if you push it a little. They are perfectly good little cars. Look at the older small cars back in the day like the VW Beetle, Ford Festive & Aspire, Geo/Chevy Metro & Sprint, Chevy Chevette & Pontiac 1000 & the Mirage is well ahead of them!!!

I drive a Chevy Spark which isn’t much bigger, almost got to 95 mph on the interstate yesterday, that thing is fast if you don’t watch it.

@H Chevy Spark is actually quite a bit smaller than the Mirage, in terms of passenger and cargo volume room. I looked at the Spark when I was shopping, test driving it was fun. It has its pros vs the Mirage. I liked it's more HP and thought it's interior was nicer too. I also liked that parts for it were much cheaper and easier to find than my Mirages, plus a much bigger dealer network of course. I went with the Mirage, though, because its fuel economy is unmatched, it has more room, a big warranty, and a solid record for reliability. I was sad to see the Spark get discontinued. I guess American Car MFG feel like everyone can afford a $30k crossover?

@@kmckenzie2461 I never do 70 cuz of the possibility of a bad accident. I do 60 and save mpg's. I will hit 65--68 if nobody else is around. At 60 my rpm is around 2250. Curious... what is the exact rpm if you are coasting at 60mph?

Thats awesome! I love these Mirage and Mirage G4s and ai seriously hope they keep making them also as there are only a few Subcompact cars left for people who like small cars. Sucks. I agree the used prices are up so high its nuts.

@@kmckenzie2461 I agree, the Mirage and G4 are fantastic options for someone that want a new subcompact, especially one that has a bunch of standard features that are reserved for more expensive cars. I found out that the rear legroom on the G4 is actually slightly better than in my Outlander Sport. And surprisingly, almost as good headroom.

I bought a 2020 ES with the Rockford Fosgate stock stereo this evening in Clackamas OR. This is my second car purchase from Carmax. :)

I read on Google that 2024 or 2025 might be the last year for the Mirage in the US, which both does and doesn't surprise me. The reason it doesn't is because of how the US market is shifting to Crossovers and SUVs, and also due to the bad reputation it's seemed to have received on a good bit of websites. The reason I am surprised is due to how many of these I see where I live, relatively common for people on a low budget it seems, probably more so since the Chevy Spark got discontinued. Personally I like them, the way the 3 l cyl sounds, and the design. Thought about having it as a first car recently, though I'd probably need to give it a test drive first. Gonna miss these little things if they really are going away.

@kmckenzie2461 Would it get on a Socal freeway. I need something little and good on gas, my Challenger never got any good mpg 13 city and around 15 freeway. It was bad last summer when gas hit almost 7 dollars a gallon and needing to run premium sucks.

I actually have a good one and used it a good bit on some older vids with my 2017 Mirage G4 but I don’t think I have with this 2021 Mirage…. I love the dash cam and should be using it for safety and for the vids. I just always forget to put it in and plug it in lol. My 2 small dogs go everywhere with me even to work so its a task loading them, their stroller and all their stuff everywhere I go lol. Like kids! But I really should start using it again you are right.

@@kmckenzie2461 Lol that's cool that you bring your dogs must be fun everytime you do. I don't have pets currently. Yeah I just got a dashcam on my Mirage surprised how easy it was to do I thought I had to connect it to the cars OBD2 port lol.

@@kylemas2005 well my dash cam set up is only the front one and I just have it on top of the infotainment screen cause I can't figure out how to put it on the windshield without blocking the air bags.

@@andresestevez1149 I have alway had mine mounted to the windshield and never interfered with the forward collision cameras up in top of windshield on my Eclipse Cross. The one I have has a forward facing camera and then and interior rearward facing camera.
