I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed. It's so subtle, but adds so much to the pose. It's the little smooth swoosh he always does pulling into that side pose then with a smirk on his face. Small details matter, cool you noticed too

Urs deserved 4th for his presentation. It was practically flawless and extremely impressive for his age. He always did smile, had everything under Control and did very pleasing and consistent transitions in between poses. Also while everyone on Stage really did relax with their hands on their hips breathing through their bellys when they said Gentleman relax , Urs did always Hit the front relax pose.

@@elmstrong I believe in a closer future in Ramon, Olympia was his second for the show. And he is only 1 year and a half with financial conditions to go on a diet and have professional support. He already has volume in most of his body, just lack maturity and hold the poses longer. Urs I believe it will take about 2 years, he needs the dough and this new dough will need maturity later. Another 2 that didn't make it so well but are promising is Mike sommerfield and Fabian mayr.

@Spine Chilling his proportions and insertion points allow for his physique to be built like a mini 212, as to pose to the classic v-taper emphasis, tighter conditioning, better lines, flow, etc. his build looks like a mini 212 whereas every one else there (besides Brazil dude) wouldn’t be able to do 212 or open and would get crushed, but dominate in a division like classic. Breon would do really well in 212 and possibly open but also does well in classic. The other guys don’t because Breon is built like a mini bodybuilder.

@@Stefan-od3us I don't think he's very muscular, Cbum has some larger groupings than him. One thing is for sure, the camera man sighed when he realized that they where going to have a bright screen as a backdrop of the competitors. If these shows are going to find a big online PPV crowd they need to ask the camera guy how a camera work! The stage probably was lit, for human eyes, but if the competitors on the stage is darker than the background you as the camera man is royally fucked. Unless they can film, process and stream in HDR in real time. But that would probably be a pain to get right too. Agree on everything BTW. Great videos as usual!

I think that actually with Bumstead moving into #1 so commandingly that it brought a lot of the needed attention to Classic and those up and comers are only now starting to hit that stride competitive enough for the class. For instance, I don't think we would have seen any better posing, newer faces, or what not to make this Olympia more competitive even if the prize money was quadrupled and everyone watched it because "Bodybuilding" takes yearrrrrrs and no one is gonna hit the stride Chris has RN but that doesn't mean they aren't coming. Seeing those new amazing faces in 3 and 4th makes me really happy because obviously, they have a longggg way to go but that's okay because they just started, imagine those physiques more filled out or even like if Robbert Tims gets his lower body to match the upper he will be dangerous I feel. Same with Brian Jones given a few more years to get conditioning and muscle maturity under control. Overall I'm very excited to see where Classic is going and I'm hoping to see it overtake the Open, even Arnold talked more at the Arnold Classic about pushing the IFBB this way by offering more money and better rewarding Classic Physique.

Nick vs Hunter will be interesting but I feel it was gifted to Hunter as Nick was just way sharper in just about every pose. Am pretty sure you'll be coming to similar conclusions but lets see :-).

Yeah give them boys a little more money for their hard work appreciation like 50k for bumstead is nice but 15k for second come on! Give the top 5 a little more in general 80k for the winner 40-50k for second 30k third or something would be a good start increasing every year it is a growing division more and more in popularity too!

So. I'm a huge CBum fan. (Fellow tall Canuck.) But I've been saying for a year now that winning down the road is going to be nigh on impossible, because there are guys...Urs, Ramon, Logan, et cetera...who have far more room to improve. What's CBum going to improve on his physique that will keep him ahead of these young(er) bucks? He came in heavier this year, was confident that he was bringing his best package...and yet I saw at least two channels that, after the pre-judging were asking the question "Was CBum better _last_ year...?" I'm not sure what else there is for him to prove; he's pulled the division forward by being a latter-day Steve Reeves. The division will continue to evolve. But can CBum?

This is how I feel. He had to diet away alot of gains this year to make weight. So he now literally needs to choose where to lose muscle and were to try and gain more. He's going to now struggle just like Breon has been for years. I honestly wish there was no weight limit. Just make the judging criteria flow, proportions, x frame, and if you have any gut at all don't bother showing up
@jeffstryker2419

Sure Urs, Logan, Ramon, etc. all have more room to improve because they are all WAY further behind. Regardless of what "channels" are saying, Cbum got straight firsts again so there wasn't any doubt on the part of the judges who was the best on stage.

Hey Tom! Thank you for covering the O, it's always nice to hear your insightful analysis! You know that I'm a man of a 1000 words and I don't want to spam all your videos with my longer comments, so I've decided to go here. Hope you can take it, haha! So as for the Open, I think it was a rather underwhelming Mr. O. I've discussed this with Michael @ThisIsBodybuilding who sat behind the judges' table and he confirmed that most guys came in off. I think Hadi was the most shredded and if I can recall Steve's famous "conditioning, conditioning, conditioning!" quote, then I truly don't understand what else shall Choopan do in order to have at least 2nd. I guess he's too far behind in terms of mass. Ramy has good enough conditioning with his 295-300 lbs so no one can hope to take him down. But it was altogether a lackluster and rather boring open olympia and I've never thought I would feel like this but at one point I started to miss Heath and the usualy quality he brings. 212 on the other hand brought the goods. That division became a quality stuff especially how it featured puffy water buffalos few years ago. The top 3 all looked great and amazing in their own right. Derek was - similar to Ramy - just as sharp that his _incredible_ structure gave him the nod. He looked larger than life and I think he has the best structure in any male division currently (maybe Chris comes close). Clarida would have been a legit choice also and Kamal does not get enough praise for turning up looking like that when he is 50 yo! Classic was a mix of the previous two: predictable and boring but very quality also! I think Breon was vastly underestimated by the "fans" and internet trolls. He is rightfully 3rd and the difference between 3rd and 4th was night and day. Chris can be Mr O as long as he wants to unless some guy with a larger frame comes in peeled and dense. As good as Terrence is - he may be even better than Chris, proportionally! - he has no chance to dethrone Bumstead unless Chris comes in off, because when you talk about similar stuff your eye will naturally draw to the big guy. The rest of the divisions I had little interest towards. But for the production, i must say it was quite a letdown after last year. The lighting sucked, the backdrop, especially during prejudging with those flashing colours was an insanely poor choice. Sometimes I feel that the same guy does the lighting who does the music and they feel it is a disco/rave/whatever party and not a physique contest. Just utter crap. The stage production was also letdownish, no matter how many times Bob told us that this is the biggest stage in history. PPV also had major issues early on but thankfully they fixed that at least (still missed half of pre-judging for 212). The new WWE-format of the "press" conference was silly and cringe and it is not a press conference when the press and the fans have no chance to ask questions. I expect better next year! The judges' had some interesting decisions and I still cannot comprehend the scorecards with a single slot for a two part event (like classic or 212). Which day they score? Would it be difficult to show how they have seen them pre and finals separately? So it was just your average olympia experience. I hope next year will be better! Thanks for your coverage and work, anyway!

Although it was unpredictable, the top 3 hasn't changed in a while. It was Breon, Chris and George then when George left, Terrence took his place. I don't get a) why Breon didn't have at least straight 3rd's, he ended up with 18 pts and I don't see how Urs beats him in a single pose but I do see how a case can be made for him beating Terrence b) how Alex ended all the way down in 6th

@@Henrique.Souza0601 Yeah, that's what I thought. Although I don't think Ramon can beat breon from any angle, I think you can make more of a case. But if you go that route, that exposes more problems: say Breon lost 3 pts to Ramon. That means ramon had 2 judges who placed him 5th or lower. To get the math right, you have to have Urs, Breon and Ramon with votes in 3rd, 4th and 5th and that means there is some inconsistent judging
