Hardly anyone is reviewing the PDK version, so thanks for checking it out. It would have been great to see some launches. Or some high revving downshifts from the cabin!

Yeah, I'm a little disappointed in that myself. I only had the car for 3 days and when I filmed those sound clips from the inside, my SD car failed and I only noticed once I returned the car...

Although, somehow they just seemed to manage to put a GT3 engine in the GT4 RS which is the same chassis as the 718 Spyder.

Great video, mate! Very interested in the Spyder, I would have listened to you much much longer. When you say the sound is good FOR 2021 WITH OPF: I come from a 981S with a very nice sound from the 3.4. how does it compare in your opinion? Is an exhaust mandatory? Thank again and tell us more about the car! Cheers from Italy!

I definitely think you'll be disappointed about the exhaust coming from a 981S. I think the old S sounds better and is louder

Great mini review of an amazing car. It’s a shame that the road noise is so bad. Also deliveries of new Porsches to the US have been severely impacted to the US, making an allocation very difficult to obtain. And used prices here are crazy. Cheers

It's very interesting to me, when I post videos of GT Porsches, how different the markets are between countries and continents. I've heard from a lot of folks from the US, the UK and a few European countries complaining about not being able to get one and that used prices are crazy. And while that's happening, there's at least 10-15 cars in Sweden, GT4s and Spyders, just available to pick up anytime, below list price. It's crazy to me how Porsche insists on shipping way too many cars in Sweden, where the demand is not that high, but in the US, for example, where the demand is quite high from what I can see, allocations are few and far between.

@@TunedIntoCars I know people who have been told that an allocation requires a MAF (market adjustment factor) to assure the allocation. 25k-100k above list depending on the car. So you spec a GT3 and then you hand over 100k to lock in getting the car. I’ve been looking at 2019 M2 C’s their are three in the Northern California market at 68k with between 10-18k miles. Crazy times

Excellent video, thanks. Any thoughts around cabin noise with roof up? Is it bearable you think? Considering either the Spyder or the Boxster GTS 4.0 and the Boxster is not that loud when cruising 90-110 kmh but afraid the Spyder could be. Any reflections? PS. I’ll likely go for the PDK love the high rev gearchange sound… 😎

It's bad. I drove the Boxster two weeks before the Spyder and the Boxster is much quieter. Driving through some tunels with the Spyder and I literally couldn't hear the person next to me. But at the end of the day it all depends on you. Do you want a Spyder specifically or just a convertible Porsche. I personally would compromise and get the Spyder any day of the week. It's such a special car. But like I always say to people. Don't base you buying decisions on what random folks on the internet tell you. Go out and drive the car yourself

@@TunedIntoCars I had the chance to drive the Spyder today, and like you say, it's a lot louder, at least with the roof up, also confirmed by the dB-meter measurements that I made. Sad to say that it would most likely be a tiring drone after a few hours drive, so I'll most likely have to go for the Boxster GTS, in spite of all the benefits (look and handling) of the Spyder. Thanks for you great content with good insights and reflections around the cars you drive.
