I ordered a Nexus 4 today @ my dealer. Sometimes DIY is better but when u wrap a medical wrap around the grip so your left hand won't get cold it is a half measure & I prefer a full measure w/o a band-aid approach. With no stabilizer I found the Nexus 4 had a very smooth draw cycle & my 570 grain arrow shot effortlessly @ 62 lbs buried up to the fletch was a big upgrade. After 2020 & the headaches it brought I felt today that I was making a good move in the right direction. The CT-5 I bought in 2019 felt like a tank compared to the Nexus 4 which was more like my Centergy but the performance was much higher. Prime I believe made a big upgrade in 2021 lineup compared to the Black series was a generation 1 when it comes to a cam system which is not draw length specific.

Did it shoot that much better then the hoyts I've wanted to buy a new flagship hoyt for a long time but 1800 for the new carbon is a lot of money.

@@letsgobrandon8375 - honestly I thought the Ventum 33 was a nice drawing bow. I didn’t think it was as balanced as the prime and it was definitely a lot heavier feeling. Did not like that weight Hoyt put down on the riser. I shot it for 45 min straight and felt fatigued. Add in all the accessories and I didn’t want to carry that bow around all day on a hunt. Anyone who spends $1800 on a 5lb carbon bow is just insane. If you’re stuck on Hoyt get the Ventum and save yourself the money.

@@patriotref7536 thank you for getting back to me. This is the first time I will be able to get a brand new flagship bow and not have to worry about the price. I did hold one of the RX5 ultras and it was heavy!!! I think I'm going to shoot as many different bows as I can and pick one that fits me instead of going off the brand. Thank again.

@@letsgobrandon8375 and yes I thought the nexus was a better shooting bow. Great speed. Balanced. Smooth draw at 70#. And free string replacement every 2 years. Fit and finish were real nice which Hoyt has had issues with. Less expensive than the Hoyt. Just made sense to me. It’s my first Prime so. I suggest you shoot them both side by side and decide for yourself. Goodluck

I think these have a tough draw cycle compared to the ventum 33 and it wasn’t just me the v3 has a similar draw but shoots way faster I’m not big on these bows

28fps slower than the nee Hoyts? Does that sound right? This bow has a higher ibo rating and Primes usually deliver top notch speed but 280fps with the Nexus 4 compared to 308fps with Ventum 33? Thats a huge discrepancy. Not on your end i really appreciate you keeping your reviews apples to apples as far as setup and arrow weights! Im just super confused with how much slower the Nexus is!

In the ventum 33 video, he said, "as usual we're shooting 29" and 70 pounds." In this video it says the Nexus 4 is 60 pounds. That could be it.

@@ponce1521 that would be my one constructive criticism for the video is to be more clear on the specs. A lot of people watch the reviews of 1 person to compare bows because the arrows used and chrono are the same. To verbally say it one time the just flash it in print on a different one can easily cause confusion. I always appreciate these videos though because I know it's time consuming.

Yes the Primes were the reps bows and they were both 60lbs, which would be the reason for the big difference.

@@Logan-uw2un yes it took some time getting used to. Very different from Helix. The short nub stabilizer looks a little strange . But you get used to it

That and I haven't really kept track of the archery industry since I bought a Strother Rush xt in 2013. I decided I'm buying new this year but keep flip flopping between the Nexus 4 and v3 31... And I haven't shot either of them yet haha.
