After I was finally allowed to ride a bit again with my knee after my incident in Tokyo. We decided to get in the car and have little Bro (Road) - Trip to Switzerland to check it out.

Forgive my ignorance but the mod BMX race bike is still single speed right? At 6.40, the rear cog set up looks a little different to me. Thanks & best wishes

Yes still single speed. That's just the Chain tensioner, so the wheel can always stay in the same place, regardless of the gear
