Ride along with me as I play my way down the trail on my 2021 Ski Doo Expedition Xtreme 850 on a 90 mile ride to Neil Lake and back in a riding crew of 11. The weather is beautiful and crisp and Denali is out in all her glory.

Thanks for the ride!! Loved it! My dog however did not! I think it was the snow machine's revving, so I muted it and finished watching it. Great views!

Awesome, thanks for the ride. It sparked my adrenaline junkie nature, might have to get back into sledding next winter. It’s been 30 years since I last played in the powder. Love watching your kids having a great time out there with you👍

Also you always wait up for the other riders.... my old man taught me this and I have never forgotten. "Just because you can ride, never forget about who is behind you!" I can try to teach people this, however they always want to be first 🤷♂️

That looks so fun! Alaska videos are my favorite to watch. You should do a POV of all the snow removal after a big snow..so I can show my husband all the work ahead for one day when we hopefully move to Alaska! 🤣 love your videos!

Love it. Brings back good memories of when my ex husband and I would ride in trapper creek...down petersville road and down trails to get to talkeetna. I remember one time finding this open area that was untouched powder and making several passes at 70+MPH and then hitting a bump or stump or something and getting thrown off the sled and getting a concussion. Man that was such a fun day. Minus the concussion. 😝 perfect reason why it’s important to always wear a helmet. 😬

So I am watching because I just ordered a 2022 expadition extreme, however I love the fact that you are teaching the youngins. Mad respect!!!! Now... Did I make the right choice, I have been 100% Arctic Cat my whole life! I feel like I am cheating on a girlfriend lmao. Looks like you have a lot of fun on that beast. Cheers!
@claytona743 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the props. Love teaching my kids and GF how to ride! So cool to see them progressing! GF went from never riding before to putting down carves this year. As for the sled, I'd definitely say you did. Just a few fun playful sled that does work good too! I put about 1800 miles on mine this year. Fit and finish is top flight and well thought out. 850 is a beast! I did a full review on our other channel Our Alaska Life.

So I grew up with snow in my younger years. However, it would melt and refreeze into ice. Is that why you guys wait until new snow fall to ride snow machines? Or does ice not issues? I guess my thought is kinda like a skateboard or rollerblades with a rock?
@claytona743 жыл бұрын
We generally don't get much melting until spring, however soft fresh snow is so much fun to ride in that it's always more fun after a fresh snowfall.
@mikehikes39023 жыл бұрын
with deeper powder, you get more cushion, it is easier to do donuts and carve, you have enough snow thrown into the tunnel to keep the machine cool, it is more forgiving on the machine just not you if you get stuck! Ice really isn't a problem sparingly when you are riding flat terrain, but you really do want a layer of snow pack and then ideally powder on top, so that you don't wear out the lugs on your track (for mountain sleds at least)
