Got the dsg auto version on the 110 engine. An absolute joy to drive, plenty of response reducing stress levels in heavy traffic. One niggle though, from cold start at low speed there was an annoying ratlle over uneven roads, which came from the lower dash trim near the light switch. First it was blamed on an additional loose wire fed from the garage-installed dash cams. All efforts to stop it failed, so I resorted to some DIY. It turned out to be the end panel of the dash trim on the driver side which is held in by 3 metal clips and the panel as a result is not tightly held. Problem solved by removing panel to prove that stopped the rattle, then fixed some B&Q rubber draught strip all around the under edge of the panel. Result: silence! Shame the Skoda garage couldn't sort it but rather chuffed that the old DIY still works.

I love my Fabia Monte Carlo, which I bought new last year, I wouldn’t consider any other marque of car than Škoda, after 20 years of continuous ownership, I can wholeheartedly endorse the Škoda Auto commitment to producing, safe, economical, reliable, and very importantly exceptional value for money vehicles, with many simply clever features!!.

Strange how none of the reviews I’ve seen of the Fabia test the 110 engine and always blindly recommend the 95, despite the fact that the 110 comes with an additional overdrive gear that drops the revs right down to around 2000 RPM at 70mph. I would have thought long distance drivers would want to go for this, especially as some reviews note some engine noise enters the cabin.

Thats not important... the 110/115 bhp one comes with rear disc brakes, not the drums the lower one has.

I bought a Skoda Fabia Estate 2016 SE-L DSG 1.2tsi in April. Its a 4 cylinder with 110bhp. I absolutely love it. It came with all the bells and whistles & its really nice to drive. Also got it in this exact colour with the black rims. I have the see through roof that is tinted black to look in from the outside, not that you would lmao.

Onto my second now, couldn’t recommend it enough and all things considered the best car in the market in my opinion in terms of price, efficiency, easy of use, driving experience and practicality. Not a fan of the facelift so my current one was an ex-demo Monte Carlo 110 from the cross over point. Was about to buy an Ibiza but found the Fabia for £3k less each with 1.5k Miles and Ibiza wasn’t that much better. Constantly does 52 mpg on the motorway (including on a full loaded trip from Newcastle to Kent recently) and 48-50 around town. First one I had was a 95 and wasn’t as smooth or efficient so much happier with the 110. Personally found it similar to drive as the Ibiza and better than the Fiesta, Corsa and i20 I test drove at the time, it’s certainly not boring by a long stretch! Would definitely recommend the Ibiza as well though, depending on budget. Also, the smaller cup holder is perfect for a can of Red Bull and I regularly have a 1.5 litre bottle and two 500ml ones in my door bins so space is impressive and the boot is useful with the little sections rather than it just being an empty space.

I agree, I own a silver 2015 SE spec, and I can get nearly 60 mpg out of mine. The only thing I hate about it is the low speed ride quality. I test drove the new polo, and if I'm honest when I got back in my fabia the interior felt much of a higher quality.

I have the pre face lift monte carlo with the 17inch alloys black with black wheels 1.2tsi 110 dsg my car has shocked everyone who gets in it how fast it really it nd how comfortable it is also found out when I collected the car it had the opinioninal sports suspension so sits lower nd handles fantastic dont need a hot hatch my car is plenty of fun

@@ridehead8771 mine is about 44.8mpg atm I owned a 2008 fabia before this but my monte carlo is a diffrent level I also have the optional sports suspension as well as 17 inch alloys with low profiles

Ironic, i find myself asking what car is this? They say 2021 on the title but this was published in 2019, implying it's a 2020. And then when describing the upgrades he references changes from 2018, implying that he's standing beside a 2019 model. What year is this car?????

Its now 2023, this model is still good value. I detest the Ford Fiesta with its ecoboost engine and the interiors are pretty ghastly on Fords. This being VW group it just looks more solid and premium.

Exterior is okay but the interior is getting more and more boring. Also its really a shame that there isn't a vrs modele. Knowing that skoda is quite good in rallye...

As a fabia owner myself, from behind the wheel the interior is actually pretty nice. The buttons and switches are of a good quality and it does feel modern and up to date. It feels expensive, classy and well built. In fact in my opinion the interior is nicer than the current polo.

The reason why there won’t be a vRS version of this generation Fabia, even for the facelift, is because the last generation Fabia vRS (2010-2013) didn’t sell well enough to justify a vRS version of the new Fabia - it only accounted for just 3% of Fabia sales worldwide.

1.2 Petrol can suffer spontanious high pressure petrol leaks which is a serious safety issue. Bolts snap off on fuel rail due to fatigue. Skoda "have never heard of this problem". Turbo wastegate actuators stick if you leave the car parked up for a week or two (lockdown) putting the EPC light on. Access to work on the engine is terrible to fix either problem. Satnav £500 option isn't worth the money, it won't do a full postcode search so use a phone instead connected to infotainment system.Always had diesel Skoda's in the past with no issues. This is our first and last petrol one! Other than the above issues they are better than Ford or Vauxhall for reliability and rust, shame about the aftercare though.

I'm not interested in this Skoda Fabia. But what I want to ask What Car is this. Why do videos on motorbikes? This isn't What Bike. It's What CAR. Your last two videos on Honda motorbikes raked in a paltry 9.3k views in total. Your last 10 car videos were watched 717k times. That's an average of 71.7k views per video. Best small car??? You have a laugh. Overpriced cheaply made car that what it is. And DSG gearbox with dry clutch is possible the worst jumping high breaking piece of equipment ever made. Also very poor sound insulation . Cheap suspension setup. This is just typical Vw cheap product with Skoda badge. Nothing else.

Have you driven one? It is a very well built car and noise insulation is better than the fiesta. In my opinion, for the money it is very good value. Doesn't feel cheap at all to drive and is basically a mk 5 vw polo underneath.

I use to drive this car for a year. As I said before very poorly sound isolated car. And Tsi engine sounded like sawing machine. I even have DEKRA engineer inspecting this car. He said that this is unfortunate characteristic of this car. I have been driving VAG cars for more than 35 years. Skoda fabia was the worst car I came across ever and also most expensive.

@@PD-cn7xd The current Fabia? Well I own a 2015 fabia and it is a very well built solid car. It's not fun to drive or the smoothest over potholes, but it is well built. No rattles or squeaks and very quiet on the motorway and around town. I find your review very odd, and I too have driven other VAG cars. The fabia is a very good car.

This is my private opinion about Skoda fabia 1.2tsi 2016 I used. And when you are saying that this is well build solid car it makes me smile but not laughing. There was more factory issues with my car but I can’t be bother to mention all. Maybe my car is was faulty from beginning. But car was brand new from factory. The noise from tyres was so bad that Skoda UK supply me with brand new set of alloy wheels free of charge. This showing you how bad problem was. And you can view some comments re Skoda fabia bad noise insulation and rattling tsi engine on owners forum. Hugely overpriced for what it is.
