I just bought a used 2019 Toyota Avalon Touring trim level. And I have to say... it looks EXACTLY like the 2021 model. Like literally everything is the same. So if any of you are considering buying a new 2021 Avalon, and want to save some money, seriously consider a used 2019 one. 2019 is the year in which the Avalon got its last major upgrade, so don't go for 2018 or older.

I test drove an XLE with the V6. Great car!!!

Good review man. Avalon is every bit of a Lexus just with a Toyota badge. Smooth operator for sure. You are right about the Toyota needing to add AWD to the V6. Even the Lexus ES doesn’t offer AWD with the V6 you can only get it on the 4 cylinder ES 250. Makes you wonder if the 3.5 V6 is going away in their next generation of cars.

Great review my man. Quick question. What was that next to the light buttons on the back seat near your head? It that a mic or some sensor that they put in the headliner?

You know your stuff man. I'd like to see a comparison between the steering wheel paddles and the manual sport shifter off from the center shifter.

Very good review and review of the touring Avalon. I wish they made better all leather seats on the avalon like the limited model. I also wish it came with a Panoramic roof. the car drives just like a Lexus GS F sport minus the horse power. They should put the AWD system from the Lexus GS in the Avalon. But it is sweet. My wife didn’t like the grill but love the drive. We got the limited for her.

Here in California its better to have fake leather because of the dry and hot weather. After a few years, real leather will crack.

Toyota places a huge price penalty on Camry V6 most likely to discourage most buyers and keep their CAFE average up as it is about $5K upcharge.
@gemo95613 жыл бұрын
As much as i loved how the Avalon and how it drives, part of the reason i'm ruling it out is because it doesn't have toyota's latest version of their safety sense, like the camry does. Big ones for me are lane keep and lane trace. Can you go into a little more detail about the differences between lane keep and lane trace assist. (please give me a reason to get this car)
@DriveOnReviews3 жыл бұрын
OK so with the rain keeping us as it keeps you in the lane when the car senses that there is no lines in the lane trace assist is basically when the car pulls you back in the line that’s the best way I can summarize it for you

@Red that's good to know i ended up not getting anything because i couldn't find any cars that fit what i was looking for at a price that i liked. Then around May cars started becoming harder to get... i'll definitely look at these again! thanks for the info!

I like this over any of the Toys 🤣 They don't offer V6 too much cause of the oil burning problem. The engines will just burn out. Excellent review friend 👏

What do you mean, the XLE and LIMITED offer all wheel drive already

Not with the V6

@@DriveOnReviews It’s so strange Toyota decided to give the 4-cylinder AWD, but not the more powerful V6. You would think a more powerful engine could use some more traction from AWD
@dcar74463 жыл бұрын
Looks like a Lexus it's nice just wish toyota could've made a AWD V6 version I'm in Chicago it snows and gets icy yeah I know they have a 4 banger for it but it's too slow only way I'll do a 4 banger it's got to be turbo charged and high output

WOW! The grill on that thing! They could make a horror movie about that grill. It's like a HUGE black hole! Nice car, but that grill! It just lets the whole car down. Lexus and Toyota designers need to rethink their grills. I think people are buying their cars despite the grills, not because of them. And the overhangs are too big as well.

My 2021 Nissan maxima has more standard features than this Toyota Avalon and it cost less and looks better Toyota is just too pricey with their vehicles because of their name but it's a nice car.

It’s really nice but looks cheap on the inside I rather have a Lexus for the price the Avalon is just a Toyota at the end of the day
