Blame tax duties, this is the main reason why most of the imported cars here got stripped with features to save cost

PRICEY! In today's standard for a 2.4M we need more cargo space and cabin space. We need sunroof or panoramic sunroof. We need 19/20 inch mags. We need seamless infotainment system. We need more good seat materials. We need 7/8 speed AT.

Wla pa din bago sa interior and dashboard design. Fan ako ng Fortuner since bata pero iba tlaga yung bagong NISSAN TERRA exterior/interior design bago lahat. Lalona na yung dashboard nya ❣️

For 2.4M it should have a sunroof, the Montero sport and Everest have sunroofs for the same or less price.

I like the 18" rims more than the Thai-spec 20", it gives a better ride overall, knowing that the 2nd gen Fortuners have a stiffer ride compared to the competition. Also if Toyota PH will source the units from Thailand, it will not be viable for the PH market because of higher prices due to exchange rate. Hence the units are sourced from Indonesia.

Very good review Sir. Vince… Straight to the point! The LTD 4x2 would be better for 2.2 M lower than 200k from 4x4 same face and features if wala ka naman plan dalhin for very off road. Pero Q variant which is 2M is a good deal pwede mo na bihisan ng TRD sports kit and i upgrade mo na lang sa After Market ang JBL Speakers. 😊

Seeing how this is a bit more loaded but isn't all as refined as those in the Mitsubishi, I'd love to see a compero between the two soon. And no, a 4x4 is a 4x4. Just take it to the trail whenever possible. :)

for off-roaders 16-18 inches is perfect. no off-roaders would want any more than 18 inch wheels. Why? because they use bigger tires. You can't fit bigger tires in a 20-inch wheel when going off-road. This is a SUV after all and people take them off-road

Legender sounds so much better than ltd. Don't know why toyota ph came up with such a lousy rebadge when they call it legender in india where they use english as their second language. On a side note, without the excise tax, the 4x2 ltd would've sold like pancakes. Just imagine it carrying that 1.9 million price tag

Because Fortuner LTD is overpriced not because of Tax Duties its because of Very high loaded Safety Features and good amenities.

I like the new look of Fortuner LTD model but not the interior overall design/functions.✌🏻 For me, I wish toyota improve it with Electronic hand break for a more comfortable drive during heavy traffic, like the Montero sport GT 4WD. Nasa kanya na lahat nang good features. Congrats Geely coolray.👌🏻 I also agree with you, the over all cockpit of Montero looks better and easy to use. Ang Fortuner hahanapin mo pa sa baba. Unlike sa Montero nasa harap mo na lahat function keys. Everest okay din kaso manual hand break pa rin.👌🏻 Can’t wait to see the launching of 2021 Isuzu MU-X and Nissan Terra hopefully next month. Mas maganda na interior and features nila. All 4WD comes with electronic hand break!👌🏻

Its a 4x4, 18 inch wheel is better for offroading than a 20? Wrap it in a A/T or M/T tyres and lower the PSI to 15 and your good to go.

The backup cam on your test unit must be busted cause mine is activated the moment you go on reverse. No issues with the 360 cam on my LTD.

Vince has no idea how the 360 camera works during this review 😂 - first the holding 2 sec on the camera button displays the front camera + 360 that stays on when the vehicle is moving forward until 30kph and goes back on when the vehicle slows down below 30kph - reverse 360 camera stays on when you reverse the vehicle only.

Next time do a more in depth research first of the features in order to avoid misunderstandings.
