I bought a 2020 Xle and I love it so far. Definitely Highlanders are a highway cruise ship. Im looking forward to stay with this vehicle for a long time.

Great car .....My parents bought used 2019 version with almost 5k mileage 1 year ago....it’s a new car .....and I really liked it ...I’m saving cash & it’s just this fking corona came and took me down .....If things go like i plan, I will probably get this car at the end of 2021 & ....I will drive it until 2025 or 26 ....Wish me luck

Highlander is a great vehicle that will go 300k with only regular service. The suspension is VERY soft. It reminds me of my dad's 1982 Cadillac 😮 Floating and swaying down the road like a boat.

I test drove this one today and other than the noticeable body roll and the hesitant power delivery on the eco mode, this SUV is to die for. The current inventory shortage pricing not so much 👎🏾 I'll hold off purchasing for a while and buy it when the prices come away from crazy town.

Well there is something called reserve. You can do about 25-30 miles

Very true about the reserve tank but it is not good for the fuel pump because the gasoline itself help to keep the fuel pump cool.

I have to admit that the 2021 Toyota highlander witch is based as a kluger and it is a reliable sport utility vehicle that will go on roads and i would love to say that because it's an SUV that being said it's a rear wheel drive car and it will probably go off road as well

Just got a 2021 highlander coming from a sedan i feel like there is too much wind noise soonest i pass 60 mph idk if thats normal or toyota just put cheap windows on it :/

SUVs are louder than sedans due to their shape and higher ground clearance. This highlander is actually one of the quieter ones.

what sedan did you come from? i’ve driven many cars, i’ve found that sedans are always quieter than SUVs unless it’s a luxury SUV (Lexus, Mercedes etc)

I had a 2017 Highlander that I bought new, so granted, a different body style, but it was literally the loudest passenger vehicle I’d ever been in once hitting 35 mph. 🤦‍♀️ I’ve driven dozens of other trucks and SUVs (various brands and models) without that kind of wind/road noise. It was horrible and incredibly irritating. It *always* sounded like I had all four windows down with the moonroof open. Sure, no electrical/mechanical issues, but the fit/finish/trim of that vehicle was cheap. Black leather seats faded within months of purchasing the vehicle, the replacement leather began fading within weeks, a piece of trim around the moonroof fell off multiple times, the chrome trim around the exterior windows didn’t line up from one door to the next, etc. Not at all what I expected for that “infamous Toyota quality.” 🙄 I only put 5,000-7,000 miles on a vehicle per year, and I get too bored to keep one for more than five-ish years, so I don’t really care if a Toyota engine will give me an extra 100,000 miles of drive wear when I won’t have it that long, and so many other aspects of the vehicle are subpar. I was ecstatic to trade out of that Highlander. I will give it credit that it held its value on trade-in, but I don’t anticipate buying another Toyota any time soon.

Your right it does have noticeable wind noise on highway the windshield and driver window on my XSE only has single panel window not double it should have double sided since it’s a step up from being a middle grade on XSE really disappointing Toyota definitely cheaped out big time here they didn’t do enough for XSE trim level not happy about it

Shame Toyota gives you incandescent turn signals on a Highlander but gives them to you standard on a Corolla

I have a 2014 toyota highlander and I noticed that when I'm braking the rpms slightly rises is that normal for all highlanders

Yes, it’s the transmission downshifting to help stop the car and give some support to the brakes. Completely normal

I am deciding between the XLE which has 18 inch wheels and the Limited which has 20 inch wheels. Between the two, which one rides smoother over BUMPY roads? Is the difference noticeable? Thanks!

18” rims ride smoother than 20” But not by that much 20” are harsher over bumps over the 18” but still rides smooth
