I never did this sport but anyone who does has my respect. These guys receive and deliver devastating shots with 0 protection yet they both seem completely unfazed.

When I started training under sensei ishi in the early 90s in Sydney it was quite common for guys to get knocked out in the dojo.

I thought the leg kicks might work for red , he needs to work on that trading punches with someone that much heavier needs an innovative strategy .

this way more better than the karate tournament where they have to jump and do norminated movements,kyoukushin doesnt have that the things we do is fight not jump and punches like a weak

The "Mas" way is brutal and a short span of power. Unlike American competition, judges here dont stop to award points. No padding no gear...these guys are tough...but I have seen them in their 50's and all were tired and beat up from a few years of greatness in their 20's.

Really! So easy to pass negative comments without having any experience and understanding 😞. Stand for 10 sec against the heavy punches and then perhaps comment and I am sure your comments will be 180 degrees opposite

Low standards. These guys would get killed up against the frank Russo's and judd reid just to name a couple. Knocked out under 30 seconds.

judd reid has run tournaments with these guys in it. My trainer has fought the bigger dude and beat him a few years ago, but yeah that guy from Sydney does the rolling thunders pretty good

@James Young What a ridiculous comparison, Sensei Russo and Reid are world class fighters, legends in the sport. If your going to compare, effort and spirit would be more of a balance.
@aussie207

@@Ronin-tp4vx both are mates of mine. I trained with Frank under sensei ishi. And under Frank when ishi sensei went back to Japan. What i am getting at is the standard in Australia is down. I think to many dojo operators are not interested in pushing their students. How can we be called the strongest karate now. Gary placed 4th in 95. When will we produce another like him.
