Great video, you answered my questions. My wife was struck by another vehicle and got a Volvo for a rental car and didn't know how to use the remote key. Now I know how to use the remote, thank you.

Nice video. On 2 occasions I have returned to my locked MY21 XC60 parked in public and found all the windows open. I was baffled and then realised that prolonged pushing of the unlock button in my pocket had opened the windows while I was walking away from the car. I was lucky nothing happened but am now more careful when locking the car and leaving it. Also, my dealer warned me that when the battery dies in the waterproof key it will cost my AU$700 to replace it (he also suggested to use it periodically as that helps prolong battery life)! I can’t believe that Volvo won’t be able to replace the battery. That’s not a great look for a renewables/environmentally focussed company!

No battery into the remote controller, you can open the vehicle but, how to neutralizer the alarm? I put the remote controller into the slot without success. The alarm still on .

A V60 backside should be easily be opende from the seats in the rear?!

No emergency release from inside the boot lid on a V60, only an electric motor. I know this because the latch on mine got stuck half way so the boot was stuck closed but loose enough to rattle around and not lock.

Stupidity They should have made the yellow key usable as a black key as well if the owner so wants it. Now I am stuck with only one genuinely usable key with profile setting. The waterproof key is useless as it dies within a few months.

@@kendo9700 well, Volvo has offered an option of making both keys master keys free of cost. This was after a number of complaints
