On a strategic level, Putin has never had the option of leaving this war half-done. Negotiations, even Minsk, have been maskirovka. Russia has been willing to achieve its security goals incrementally, without violence, if the west would allow it, but I think it has been clear since 1991 that the west would never allow that, until the west loses the power to threaten Russia. We are still far from that, but Russia has NO reason to allow Ukraine to be used against it again, and every reason to eliminate Ukraine as a state and create a new one, with a new name and no 'historical claims,' in whatever parts of the current Ukrain'es territory that is not partitioned among its neighbors.
@drmodestoesq

Why would a country with 6,000 thermonuclear weapons have security concerns? No neighbouring country is going to violate Russia's territorial integrity ever, for any reason. Russia's fears are nothing more than irrational paranoia.

Ukraine is just one piece of the puzzle. All Eastern European countries are under huge presure by the US-EU (or USE-U) to keep poking the bear, even at the expense of their own economies, energy and food security, and political stability. Only Hungary has openly opposed those presures, but the whole region is about to explode. The government of Estonia already collapsed, and the Bulgarians are next in line. Russia needs a smart plan for those countries.

There are too many problems within Russia, no doubts. The invasion was a bad idea. But I don't like the Russia (all of it) hatred and all the misinformation since the invasion. And it's not up to me or some other whatever to change that. It's up to the Russian people. And I don't like the lies (so obvious) of the Ukrainian government and what they have done to their own people and also to the Russian. US neo-liberalism has only 1 way forward: solve a crisis by creating a bigger crisis so that public perception forgets about the last one. All of these global catastrophes fall into that category. Sanctions, inflation, fuel, food... nuclear war? They will never go back and admit to any wrongdoing, so I think forcing war (which goes nuclear on day 1 if NATO goes 'active') is still on the table as their 'solution' to cheering on a whole series of progressively worse ideas.

The regime and rich, smile in their fancy clothes, cars and homes and pretend like all is wonderful in life. While "the people" work, pay taxes and die to support the globalist lifestyle. When all that is left is starving children and parents that can't feed or protect their families there will be a revolt. And they will turn their arms on us as fast as they did Iraq. We know no one is coming to save us regular people however. They will call us terrorists as fast as they did the Taliban. But when we aren't here to provide cover anymore....they will destroy everyone else rather than give up their power. It isn't just America however...there are many all over the world that would love to create an Eden without the orcs and deplorables. They will stop at nothing!

For the most part he is correct, however, he is not telling his audience the truth about the U.S.. The U.S. is controlled by the descendants of Nazi's who invaded in 1935 and committed genocide on the American people. Don't know about this? That's how many people they killed in the U.S. And DW is covering this up as is the German government. And these Nazi's are still bent on worldwide domination and control. And they don't care how may people die because they are Nazi's. For instance, these Nazi's found Nazi's in Ukraine to support. And their hatred for Russia is because if not for Russia the Nazi's would have taken over the world and there would have been world wide genocide only seen in Star Wars movies and there would be NO Russia today. All the Russian people would have been executed. All of them. WW II is not over yet. And these Germans who occupy and control the US want to finish the destruction of Russia that they started in the beginning of WW II. This is the entire reason for U.S. support of the war in Ukraine and all the wars they have been in since 1945. See, Murder of the Creoles of New Orleans 1935, KZfaq. My father was there. I went to school in the USA that was mostly for German kids. I have a half sister and a half brother who have the same Nazi father in the USA. And Nazi's murdered people in every country they occupied so they probably control many of those other EU countries as well. WW II is still going on. And Gonzalo knows this and so do most of the prominent KZfaqrs as I have emailed all of them a number of times with eyewitness accounts, emails to me, and recorded conversations. Some are afraid to say anything and some are involved. Britain? With the outbreak of World War I in the summer of 1914, strong anti-German feeling within Britain caused sensitivity among the royal family about its German roots. Kaiser Wilhelm II of Germany, also a grandson of Queen Victoria, was the king’s cousin; the queen herself was German. As a result, on June 19, 1917, the king decreed that the royal surname was thereby changed from Saxe-Coburg-Gotha to Windsor. Queen Victoria was half-German, her husband German .

Simply superb. If this doesn’t get the “critical thinking” juices flowing I'm not sure what will! I encourage folk to share with Western journalists on social media and “professionally” (nicely) ask them to share at a staff meeting and with editors to help “reinvigorate ” their once investigative, objective, truthful, and ethical responses to events around us. Just, maybe it will open a “crack” in their current propagandist fortress. I know as a former Vietnam era journalist this would be a “wow” moment.

I live in Midwest America, and have had this feeling for a few months now. Most of the people I know are oblivious to what's going on. My grand parents saw the writing on the wall in the early 30's in Germany, and moved to the US. I now see the same writing on the wall, and don't know where to go. Especially, as you said, the US can destroy the world. I love what my country was founded as, but it doesn't resemble it anymore. There are many good people here who have swallowed political propaganda from both sides of the aisle, hook line, and sinker. Very good, Gonzalo. I have used the 'thrashing about' analogy myself about the USA in decline and fully agree. Remember, what makes it more dangerous is that Russia isn't just going for victory in Ukraine - which is necessary; they also want to redesign European security framework which will further expose and push the US buttons. If it weren't for the Russian government being so incredibly smart and careful, we'd be better off sleeping in our basements for the next few years. The Americans are the biggest problem as they also already used nukes just to make a statement on a vanquished nation - it's not the same nutcases in charge, they have degraded from that time. And, in an aside, please note that the 20th century didn't just see the end of the British and Soviet empire; but also the German empire.

You give the us too much credit…I don’t think their intention was to send a message to the soviets…they must have know that the soviets would have nukes in a few years anyway…advantage negated and the us was not interested in acquiring territory, so what was the message sent? IMO, they wanted to end the war quickly… the Japanese were fanatical and hopping to Tokyo would have been a long slog. Japan was warned they ignored the warning…us dropped the bomb on Hiroshima….Japan still didn’t surrender so they dropped a bomb on Nagasaki…..it saved 100s of thousands of lives (Japanese and American) and it was brutal….what would you have done?

@@gtengineer1967 I am familiar with the narrative, but the narrative is a l1e. There's plenty of evidence for this. First, lots of people including physicist Leo Szilárd who were involved in the surrounding private conversations (with Secretary of State James Byrnes for instance) have stated that the biggest concern of the US government was çoviet postw4r behavior. It was also known that the Japanese were trying to negotiate a surrender through moscow, and there's no shortage of generals and admirals (household names like Nimitz, Eisenhower, and LeMay to name a few) who have gone on the record to say there was no military necessity for the nuccing. Japan was beaten -- they had no fleets and no oil with which to power them. A _conditional_ surrender would've readily been accepted. A surrender unconditional in every way except that Japan would get to keep the emperor would've been accepted just as readily. Failing that, a truly unconditional surrender would've taken nothing more than a blockade. No lives lost. This is all known, these are all facts. Another interesting fact: Hiroshima was nucced on August 6, Nagasaki on August 9. Now when did the çoviet-japanese w4r start? That's right, August 9. America simply couldn't allow the çoviets to be the ones to beat Japan. This whole "it will shorten the war and save millions of lives" canard is just more ghost of kiev tier prop a gander from washington.

I'm a simple man living in America and looking for information as opposed to "propaganda". You do well presenting information but I feel you still view things from a "collective west" thought bias. I want to say so much but have to go to work soon. Poland and the "rump" of Ukraine is a non-issue because I don't think Russia will allow a NATO country to control this area. Russia also doesn't focus so much on profit so that if an area is unprofitable, they will still support the people like they do all over their vast country. The collective west puts profit over people but the global south with much of the world seems to want to raise the living standard of all the people. You are right about the boring aspect. If the Russians continue with the slow grinding conflict, the collective west will collapse (and is) under it's own stupidity and greed. American hegemony is collapsing because so many countries around the world are turning away from the American dollar. It's about "business" and economics and Russia and China seem to be more savvy in that regard. For a few years I have watched programs that show millionaires and business leaders moving to China because it makes sense to them. Americans are like a child with ADHD and easily distract themselves so Russia does not need to throw a "tennis ball". The shift is to gun regulation, abortion and the mid-term elections in main stream media. Time to go to work so I will end it here. Take care and keep us informed.

As for Ukraine, as a result of its nationalistic turn to the EU and the States in 2013, Ukraine became THE poorest country in Europe, worse than Moldova and the Baltics. In contrast, Roscosmos is already preparing for future cooperation with the Ukrainian space institute in Kiev. One more thing, which you may have missed: back in 2014, the then head of the INF publicly stated that the only reason Ukraine had stayed afloat economically from the dissolution of the USSR until 2014 was Russian largesse.

Millenium 7's analysis of the air war really hit home on a few points: Russia has total air dominance. The majority of their losses (75-ish) have been rotary CSA, which is understandable since they are essentially used as 'tanks' and some losses are expected, however undesirable. - Russia flying 200-300 sorties per day over Ukraine -Ukraine flying 2-3 sorties. Usually ending in shot down at this stage of the operation. For reference, the US lost mostly fixed- wing (expensive) fighters in Desert Storm. 75 of them in 1 month. Technically Russia is doing better against Ukraine than the 'allied forces' did in Desert Storm against Saddam. And that brought me to 2 more conclusions: 1) There simply isn't a way Ukraine survives without wrestling back air dominance. 2) There simply isn't a way Ukraine can do that.... so they lose. And then follow-on conclusions: 1) Ukraine can't counterattack or win with 'advanced ground weaponry' any more than Hitler's Germany could. Air dominance is called that for a reason. 2) Zelenskyy knows this and is throwing all his 'ubermench' (lol!) into the meat grinder to prolong his inevitable capture and death. Zelenskyy is Hitler and this is 1945. Sick, sad man.

That's why people in his country love him. When he promises them to "make their country whole" by attacking neighbors to retake land that they think is their own, his people, who are still smarting from recent defeat, eat it up. When he tells them they will win because they are superior people and the cultures he's attacking are inferior and need to be destroyed, they also eat it up. This invasion just gave those 14million refugees from western ukraine an excuse to leave, giving them a free get-out-of-jail card to seek and secure a new all expenses paid for life in the lucrative West. One youtuber came back to kiev to help oyher ukrainians after claiming refugee status in Denmark. Huh?She's now a paid anti-Russia propagandist for the West. It's sickening. Many western ukrainians clearly no longer care or never cared much for their own country.

@@maximmatiyuk5240 4 million makes sense. If you , also, include 1.5 million of Ukranians that were there before February the 24th. You get Jan's 5.5 million in Poland.

Can you imagine the ambitions and energy of those in power? When I think about it, this joke usually comes to my mind: those who believe in organized conspiracy clearly haven’t tried to organize anything in their lives. But jokes aside I am really afraid that the US government’s gonna do smth stupid and dangerous for the whole world. Can you believe what important historic events we’re witnessing?

Gonzalo you’re so smart and observant of the entire situation in the world, I see what you see, having studied international politics, strategic military motives through political agendas, it’s incredible how the arrogance of the United States military can think it can achieve their objectives without a care of the consequences that will befall on humanity, simply put, they’re dangerously desperate or incredibly immature or just pure evil!

I'm glad you brought up the Russophobia of the Americans. I had the good fortune to visit Russia in 2005. Within a few hours of my arrival I knew the western propoganda was all wrong. So then I started traveling to Ukraine, Odessa mainly, in 2006 and have been going back ever since. A lot of expats populated Odessa. It was amazing how virulent they were towards Russia when they were enjoying Russian culture. Because Odessa was no doubt Russian. Especially the British expats. I always thought they were a bunch of hypocrites.

I agree with Gonzalo assessment except a couple of things. He talk about Ukraine with assumption that pre-war Ukraine was well developed and somewhat reach country and after Russia wins, the Ukraine will be kept poor...No - pre-war Ukraine was already very poor corrupt and much less powerful and much less developed as it used to be straight after it declared its independence from Soviet Union after USSR collapse. So the only way for Ukraine after the war could be up in economic terms..just my 5 cents

Washinton never had a ground war on the table they always knew the proximity of Russia to the battlefield was too big of an advantage. They even mentioned in one of their think tank documents that wanted war in Ukraine to "weaken Russia." The scariest thing out there is the think tank documents on how to "win" a nuclear war. That is what I was most worried about.

The analysis I heard on the subject is that Russia needs to establish a proper border with NATO. This means not allowing a proxy state like Ukraine to exist that can be used to stage biological and nuclear attacks as an "independent" actor. NATO has to take the risk and responsibility all on itself if it wants to attack Russia. Practically this means absorbing most of Ukraine and letting Poland absorb Halichyna or the far west part of the country that it controlled between 1920 and 1939. So Russia and Poland (NATO) then have a border and Poland gets to deal with the Stepan Bandera zealots.

Absolutely spot on analysis. I think the thrashing about with America is due to unique features of America compared to Britain and USSR. Britain was not decadent when it collapsed, it was financially over extended at a time before fiat currency truly took up, so it didn't have much choice. Britain also is more conservative minded than the U.S. they always understood the concept of responsible government - peace, order and good government was always a motto (whether it really always worked out is different, but it was an ideal), i.e. not revolutionary. America is built on liberalism - revolutionary idealism based on lies - "all men are created equal", "life, liberty and the persuit of happiness". That loss of being able to persue liberty and happiness that is burned into their psyche and the absolutely decadence is what is making them lash out like children, and believing america's problems are everyone elses fault, or else America demands their problems become the world's problem to fix. Luckily Nuclear weapons are fake another lie of WW2...hopefully this collapse will expose that.

Deaf guy here. I can't wait for auto generated subtitles to come up! Really want to see what you are saying in this video. Can anyone maybe elaborate why when Mr. Lira have a rather fresh video, his auto-CC subtitles takes a while 24+hrs to work but compared to an ordinary youtube video despite 2 hours since its release/update have automatic captioning rather instant? Do anyone have an idea why it's like that for Lira's case? Not talking about this video particularly but mostly his videos in general where I have to wait a while for the automatic-Captioning to work in order to be able to watching his videos.

Hes basically saying the Ukrainian president zelensky can't afford to negotiate any peace terms with Russia or he'll be deposed and whatever territory taken by russia will a part of the Russian federation so the rest of ukraine thats independent can't be allowed by russia at this point so this is a proxy war between russia and the us and nato so overall ukrains independence Is lost is what he's saying
