This has been my first year with TGATB, my daughter is going into kindergarten and we've been using Level K LA as well as Math for a few months now. We really enjoy it! Especially with an older learner in the house with multiple subjects, it's really great to have an open and go, no prep curriculum for my little. She loves the colors, she thinks the pictures are sweet and comments on them regularly. I hope you have a great Pre K year with TGATB! And I completely agree, the nostalgia of setting up your new school binder JUST RIGHT and decorating the cover with pictures ready to go for day 1 with all your new supplies... there was nothing like it 💕

I used the old version of that for my oldest as she was loving Math and advancing in that, but wasn’t interested in or was struggling a little bit with wanting to do the phonics, Language arts stuff. So I used it to help her catch on to reading small words and practicing sounds. Midway through her confidence picked up and she sped through the rest and moved on to level K. I haven’t looked at the new one, but I bet it will be good for Josephine.

What I enjoy about TGTB language is it’s so comprehensive, so I can take/leave whatever I choose and use my own brain power to be innovative. For example, the sight word ladders in level K just write them on index cards and draw a fly around them and have my kid slap them around with a spatula for fun. I like how it’s easy when I need it to be (I have a 6, 3, 2, 1, and 9 month old and in Nurse Practitioner school so I need easy to use bc my head be spinning most the time). I’ll like do a lesson too and then be like let’s free write about, whatever, and drop the poetry memorization they have in it. I haven’t decided what I’m using for my preschool age child yet 🤷🏽‍♀️ I hope it goes well for you because I’m considering TGTB for her too since she’s ready ykwim

I have used TGATB LA for all three of my kids. My youngest will be in kindergarten next year and I did the preschool and kindergarten prep with her. She is already sounding out words on her own and reading!! ❤️ TIP: I let each of my kids pick out stickers at the dollar store and they get to place a sticker on their completed box at the end of each lesson. 😁

I definitely relate to the feeling of "Christmas" when new curriculum arrives :)

We are loving the Math and LA of TGATB!

We are in the UK. I used the simply maths 2 with my daughter this year. She has loved it (and so have I). We will be using g3 when we finish. We are a secular family so any bible writings I just haven't read them but so far only one of those. We have the typing book but not really got into I think I'll try again in a yr or so though.

TGTB is my absolute favorite curriculum. We have used their Math ever since my oldest were in Kindergarten. This fall will be our first to use their revised Simply TGTB math so I’m super excited. We Have always used their handwriting. The LA didn’t work for my son (or at least not on the same pace as his twin sister) so I have done a different curriculum for him. But my daughter thrives on their LA. Planning to use their Preschool and Kindergarten prep as well as Math for my youngest daughter this year. And thinking about using science from them for the first time as well! I seriously can not say enough good things about them. So thankful for the open and go, thorough, easy to use, and beautiful option!

Dash into Learning has a lot of fun handwriting stuff. I’m looking into CTC math for my older kiddos this year. ❤️

Have you heard of Apologia Math? They are known more for science but their elementary math curriculum is a few years old. I believe they’re up to level 4 this year. I just mention because you said you were still praying over math and finding apologia was truly an answered prayer for us!! Looking forward to the rest of your picks!

We are finishing up their (old) PreK curriculum and my son learned so much! He is 5 and more hesitant with Language Arts so we used Kindergarten levels for math but we enjoyed the gentler preschool curriculum by TGATB for him this year. We will be using their K language arts over the summer and early next fall. Good luck!

I haven't used TGATB Language but we love the handwriting. I am looking at their language arts for this year just praying through it. How did you like their math?

✔️it’s open and go ✔️easy to follow on a brain dead sleep deprived with a new baby situation *i was so glad for this on a personal level* ✔️broad subject coverage, poetry, geography, composition, spelling, grammar 😕 not an effective spiral Method in our experience, too broad a spiral of learning for us and the level of mastery wasn’t what I have found from programs like Abeka. 😕it’s good, it’s beautiful, …but is it true? We full on stopped using the readers because they were so sterilized…we took issue with some of the subject matter and under-representation of key demographics 🤨😡lastly, there were some startling ethical conflicts reaching back to the company itself in the fall of last year with the release of their program on government and the constitution where we felt we could no longer support this business, no matter the content they offered. I hope if it is a worthwhile choice for your family that you find all the fulfillment you need from it! Lots of love to you and yours Tash! 🤍🕊
