I drive a modded 2013 TL 3.7l SH-awd w/only 61k miles.. . It's bullet-proof and drives amazing year-round but a bit heavy on premium fuel - Thinking this might be my next daily after 2 more years of depreciation. Been an Acura fanboy for 20+ years and don't think I'll ever try something else.

You should tune it man. I was hesitant on doing it, but I’m pleased with the results and it’s been reliable. Just make sure you go with a reputable tuner. I went with Derek Robinson.

Gorgeous car, lovely colour, and love the wheels on it, I rarely say this, but if it was mine I wouldn’t change a thing on that, it’s spot on. 😎😁 What is it to a British person though? Honda Accord I guess? Looks nicer than a European Accord though in my opinion

@@rickfelz7148 bc I wonder if the v6 provides that much with of a different experience than the A Spec to justify the price difference. Bc I’d rather spend money on air bags and rims than having the type s price point and STILL needing to put air bags and rims after the fact. I don’t drive fast anymore in my life. I just enjoy the stance of having my ride look good parked and functional when driving.

Yeah simple answer: 4 month wait list in California for an apex blue type s😭 plus most of my build was sponsored so didn’t really pay too much for the mods

Gotta say watching this video was enough to convince me to buy a TLX A SPEC AWD. Had the car for about 3 weeks now and I’m already tempted to slap in some mods. Where did you get your front splitter from? Also how are you liking the the Type S exhaust ? I have a friend who is willing to give me his S exhaust for a swap

Love the TLX, got a 22 aspec myself. Black paint with black factory rims with 5% all around. Blacked badges and all. Do you have a link to the carbon fiber for the interior of the car? I definitely want to do that next

Question for you or anyone who owned this vehicle. I had a 2022 TLX A Spec. Everything this dude spoke of about the car was my experience. Excellent vehicle. I had a 2022 Honda Accord Touring edition that has the identical technology as the and Spec and traded one for the other because of the infotainment centre not connecting to my Apple iPhone 13+. Anyone have the same experience? Apple car play would not pick up my phone or kick me out altogether. It would not find my device and therefore, no music could be played while driving. No phone calls could be received. It wouldn’t even connect Bluetooth. I flipped the car and got me a 2023 G70. Best car I ever owned. A little smaller than I wanted for a guy who’s 6’3”. Super fast. I was so disgusted with Acura as the problem could not be fixed despite multiple e visits to both the Apple Store (believing it might be the phone) and Acura (believing it might be the system). After 27 years of driving Honda products,I left them. I’m curious to know if you or anyone reading his had a similar experience with the Acura TLX product.

Never had that issue tbh, you could ask the TLX forums, check out their website and start a thread. But yeah the G70 is a good alternative for sure!

If this thing got the Type S hood from the Integra, and the wider fender flares, it would be better than the Integra Type S.. I dont like the rear of the Integra, its too bloated. But, I also refuse to pay the prices Acura and Honda are asking for these cars, BUT, at least the TLX comes in AWD and a v6.. Lots of potential, altho I cant stand the direct Injection.

Curious did you have to change the rear diffuser for the stock type s exhaust? Or any changes at all for that exhaust to work? Is it just plug and play?

Nope! Super easy, plug and play, and direct bolt on replacement!

Beautiful TLX, i need to put those Type S exhausts on my Aspec. Did you do anything special to fit the Type S rotors and brakes on the car, i may have missed that. Is it plug and play?

Thanks! And yes unfortunately if you want to put the rotors on the car, you have to take out the brake shield in the back off. That means taking out the bearings and resealing them. So i had to use a press and buy new bearings for both sides.

When you did the Brembo install, did you put new bearings? Or did you pull the hubs and just put the bearings back together? I have the conversion but I'm not sure i want to pull the bearings to replace the dust shields.

Yes, had to order new bearings, then use a press to put them back on. It’s not a simply job tbh, took all day at my mechanic shop

You can do the “easy way” by not replacing the bearings, but def not safe down the road or recommended. So I ordered the bigger brake shields and new bearings and did it the safe way

I was thinking on going with bc coilovers for tlx just to kill the wheel gap and not to slam it and now I see the Eibac springs do well enough for half the price what the model of the springs?

During the time of my trade in, the inventory back in July of 2022 was still extremely limited for an apex blue aspec, they gave me a 5 month wait time just for apex blue in SHAWD :(

@@ApexBlueTLX I just bought a 21 tlx a spec apex blue a few weeks ago. I’m already planning to do a full type s conversion. Love your channel. One last question, I already have the bbk upgrade. The wheels I’m looking at may have to be a 20x10 +31 in the front. Will that extra 9 mm front yours stick out too far you think? Would you know if the car had enough stock camber adjustment to compensate a little for it?
