Shorter version any day for me plus V8 best engine ever, better than any inline better than V6 and V12

Absolute dreamcar and my choice for sure if i had the money. 22 years ago i drove the first S8 on track invited by Audi cause i was an S-customer and already back then it was another world to drive the Big Daddy compared to the rest of the pack. I can only imagine how this new one is to drive. Great memories from that trackday coming back to now, i remember my salesman when i tried the S4, after one lap he yelled let me out...LOL And i agree with you about all the safetysystems, it's a bit to much these days and i can feel that young people today will never know how it feels to really drive a car. I learned in a Volvo Amazon here in Sweden when i was 12, it was scary but ohh so fun.

Great video and we share the same taste on the infotainment system, I think Audi is the best with landscaping design not interrupting the driving view.

Hi Brian, I share your sentiments on the "new" stick-on tablets! I have been a huge BMW fan but no more. I drove the 325iS(South African version of the E30 M3 which we did not get) for 14 years. I am ready to purchase the S8 next month. Thanks for your thourough review! Kobus Müller

25:30 - 26:00 Pure facts right here. Yeah, if there is anything I do not like about this car it would be that. 😂 Do not think you and I are being too picky, especially considering what many car enthusiasts have whinged about. 😂 Even though my heart is closest to the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the A8/S8 car would be a very strong contender along with the BMW 7-Series; some excellent cruisers in the sedan segment. Gosh, I want to buy these. 💕

Would like to see vehicle reviewers show headlights/turn signals/fog lights, taillights on & horn sound. Looks like the armrests have a hidden storage compartment. Also, front door panels should also have the pull close interior door handles like rear door panels.

These big luxury barges with a big donk under the hood, are something else. I'd love to test drive one these S8's. Even the older models..

Fine with the looks of the long wheelbase, seeing as I’m from the USA it’s the only version we get. I guess for Americans the backseat is the biggest reason to get an a8 over an a6 or an s class over an e class and that’s why we only get the long wheelbase version of all the cars in this segment

AFAIK this press test sample has the glove compartment-mounted slim optical disc deck (from watching Matt's video review); however, Brian did not bother doing coverage on the glove compartnent, a common mistake many motor journos have made. It's good to know that the latest MIB3 infotainment system can indeed add back the ODD unit; however, many dealerships worldwide don't seem to offer this accessory to the concerned customers, and instead lie to them claiming that the ODD is not compatible with MIB3. And not just Audi, many VW branches (including Bentley) have the same problem not letting customers add back the ODD module in question.

3:18 In North America, most flagship luxury sedans come in long wheelbase as standard, so it looks normal in that configuration to me.

It is obviously improved than before the facelift, but I believe that they did not reach the look of the previous model. The S8 Plus is still more beautiful. And more powerfull. So why change? I also hate the ipad in the middle of the dashboard. Especially if it is not integrated and looks like extra. Is Merc listening? Obviously not.

8:24 The smile on my face went ear to ear haha. I agree “that” ridiculous iPad in the middle looks fucking horrendous! Absolutely no taste in aesthetic or cohesive interior design at all… on a car worth $100k+ no less!

I love S8's and I'm sorry, this from understated to anonymous. At least the interior is still beautiful! The Audi flagship went from being a sleeper to comatose. Le Sigh

Brian, the Mercedes S65 AMG, the new Maserati Quattroporte Trofeo, and this new Audi S8 are all luxury cars that should have never been made. Going really fast, handling, etc. is contrary to big heavy luxury cars. I currently own the S Class, S550. I did not consider the S63 or S65 AMG version. If someone wants to haul ass, they should buy a smaller, more sporty vehicle other than something like this. In my opinion.

The shorter wheelbase in the top model (S8) is what all the full size sedans should be built on! Not that limo length crap that is just for the Chinese market really. Anyone buying this model of Audi ( S6/S8) are mostly for the drivers top considerations. That's what I want! Not the mini-limo wheel-based models. Honestly, I don't know what the Germans are thinking about selling this model here in the states.

I wonder why your channel goes out of its way to bash Tesla? This isn’t even a Tesla competitor and yet you managed to emphasize how you hate their interiors. So now your channel called Tesla’s suspension complete rubbish as well as their interior. I wonder if it has anything to do with them building a plant in Germany and selling so many cars, posing maybe the biggest threat to German legacy automakers.

I can't believe this is Autogefuhl. No useful information at this price range (gearbox is the worst in class for example), but had to be politically correct about the men's loafer in the dash or whatever.

@Bieber Ozinga Even cheap cars shouldn't do this. But Audi is the company which puts a giant grill on a mid-engine sportscar, so I'm not surprised anymore
