I have the 2.5” I do believe there is a slight sound difference given the different diameter pipe. However I have not heard a 3” in person. Either way - it’s LOUD.

3” should work as long as it goes from 3” to 2.5” for the muffler.

Damn sorry to hear that Derryl, A straight pipe exhaust is definitely not for everybody. I truly don’t know how people ride with a straight pipe only with no way of making it quiet. Good thing there’s good resale on those if you want to pull it off.

What kind of hearing aid you need ?? In what world does the x3 sound like a rzr in what world does a 3cyl sounds the same as a 2cyl ??? Im speechless, i own both machines and they are night and day difference in terms of exhaust sound, one sounds like a muscle car and the other one sounds like a mosquito bite maybe its time for a hearing doctor visit.

It’s not a stock X3 exhaust, it’s a loud aftermarket pipe on an X3 making it sound like a RZR.. Not sure where you got confused there.

I feel like the insulation wrap and zip ties are unnecessary lmao just put the shield back on and you’re good to go.

@mittenmotorsports you do you. I didn't spend thousands of dollars just to hide all my upgrades. Once the cat is removed from the system, there's no real need for the factory heat shields.
