Here in Colorado the trails are narrow, you already give up some trails moving to a full size as opposed to something like a Colorado or Tacoma... so for here, the ZR2. If I lived in a state where the trails were less technical or had dunes to actually open up on, then one of the monstrous wide bodies like the TRX.

I think that, out of all the crazy trucks that have come out lately, this is the most dailyable of them.

this ZR2 with an AWE exhaust would be awesome. speaking of Camaro, a SS 1LE or V6 1LE review would be awesomer

Just bought one this past November. I was shopping Raptor/TRX but couldn’t justify paying $10-$20k over sticker and Chevy was offering these at sticker with rebates towards accessories which paid for side steps and bed liner. Not a sweetheart deal but better than paying over sticker!

I am showing my age because, when I was a kid, trucks were "look good at Church on Sunday , go to market on Monday." This Chevy is livable, smooth as can be, and NICE. I love an American v8. Simple, powerful, and the best sound around. I would need a running board. My knees are fine, but I am 5'8". Getting into a big truck like that is like climbing a jungle gym for me.

Love all of these trucks (ZR2, TRX, Raptor), but they're all way too expensive. Hopefully the car market implodes soon and Chevy brings back the '20% off sticker' sales they used to run.

The Raptor and the TRX are bit much, I think this is just enough and probably a little more reliable with that V8

i think I’d take this over the raptor or the TRX. it’s an excellent and well performing truck without being a suicide mission or crazy huge, far out styling, etc. it’s also got a much more proven and reliable engine compared to either the super trucks. to me, it seems like the ideal option for being daily friendly with a kick.

Wish they would have let it drink E85, it's a common conversion for Vette owners in the Midwest as it's considerably cheaper and higher octane, even with the mpg loss. Also, pretty sure the truck only comes with the short bed. That way it's easier to manufacture and angles are not different.

I don't know how anyone lives with the front visibility of these monsters, not just the silverado but basically any pickup these days. I like my 40+ MPG and being able to squeeze effortlessly into parking spots too much. Few people actually buy these as a workhorse, most will spend their entire lives on pavement, in the city, bed empty and nothing on the tow hook. For that once in a blue moon time you actually need a truck to do truck things it would be cheaper to just rent a uhaul for the day instead of paying through the nose for gas all year long to get you to work and back.

My '07 Silverado averages 17.4 mpg which isn't the greatest but I use my truck as an actual truck hauling stuff that no car ever could. Most trucks are just pavement princesses driven by guys that never get dirty.

Sadly the majority of people who buy this or a Raptor will never utilize the off road ability of the truck. Most will barely see dirt....but will be awesome at Starbucks or the grocery store. 6.2L.....if you don't run premium it isn't performing at its peak....and running premium sucks in a half ton. I've had the 6.2L....lifter n pushrod issues, running premium.....I'll pass thanks

@Tedward LOL I've owned a 6.2L Have you? I could give a shit about your "positive " attitude. Piss away $ on premium gas.....in a half ton. Yup you are special. You probably didn't even know premium was the recommended fuel, and that sometimes these things don't run very well on regular.
