The styling on these has grown on me. Swap that front bumper out for a steel one with guard and honestly the base trim doesn’t look bad with it. $65k for what you get in todays market - honestly pretty good.

That’s a great looking truck! You’re getting a LOT for the money here. Super impressive numbers on here too. Very nicely optioned also. Lots of bang for the buck. I’ve had my 2500 LT Duramax for a few weeks now and driven about 1,600 miles. It’s just been great so far and I’m really happy with it.

I have a 21 F350 crew cab long bed diesel dually XL STX. I absolutely love the truck. It has all the cameras, tow backing (never used it) and cloth seats. Best of all it has a cargo capacity of 5,660 pounds. It also has the puck system and a spray in Bedliner. Cost was $62K in January of 2021, and I bought it while it was on a train on the way to the dealer. The key fob doesn’t have auto start, but the Ford software does, so I just press start on my iPhone. The software also provides all the information available on the dash screens, along with service records and maintenance schedule. I added Carhart seat covers, heavy duty air bags, air horn with Viair compressor, with two air couplers for filling tires, an LED light strip just above the license plate, and they’re all wired to my upfitter switches, electric side boards, Rancho shocks and a Bilstein 5100 series steering stabilizer. I had a local body shop paint the mirror caps and rear bumper release assembly in Iconic Silver Metallic. I installed carbon fiber trim covers throughout the interior for a custom look. The STX package made all the difference in giving me a blank slate to upgrade the way I wanted, while not looking like the XL work truck with all the black trim. It’s a 5th wheel towing beast for sure.

This is a great looking base model truck that will give you years and many miles of good service

Great review. I will be retiring from military service soon, and looking for a dually to start RV transport in. I always thought that GM had the smallest cab, which is the only reason I wasn't considering them. Ill be sleeping in it for a few months at a time while out on the road. You mentioned it has a bigger cab than the Rams crew cab. That's great to know. I know the looks are love or hate, but I think it looks great on the dually. I think all the black trim with black paint would look great! The side steps are awesome, especially for someone who has had a few knee surgeries like myself. Seems to have plenty of power. Looks like Ill be taking a hard second look at GM/Chevy! Thanks for another awesome review!

WT is the "best" trim model to get (for me). Black bumper means NO paint chips. Less washing. No useless option that you set it and never touch it again. No fog light is good. How many time people use fog light on average per year? I never use mine. Less is more. I never use 4X4 either.

That’s my truck only it’s a GMC SRW. The GMC you can get the cloth seating and I have the LED lights on the towing mirrors. The only down side to my truck it’s a 2018 but, it will has a GCWR of a little over 27,000.

Install carpet and cloth seats and it's pretty much what I built my 2013 into. That vinyl floor allows way more road noise in that you would expect.

Just wondering why you did not get in the truck to demonstrate the leg room? Because to me with the driver's seat in a comfortable position for the driver, your knees would have been digging into the back of the front seat. Just saying Anyway like your content

I currently have a 2020 Silverado LT 2500HD 4X4. In the future, I probably will not buy a 4X4 again. I never use 4X4. Depending on location, the type of camping/recreation, most people never use 4X4.

Pretty good value for the cost; not sure how you consider the vinyl seats as an upgrade over cloth. I would take cloth any day over vinyl.

I went to a chevy dealership in the night I saw a chevy 3/4 ton truck. It was under the light and you could see the ripples on the metal on the cab. When they rolled the metal for the body it was really thin to see the ripples. I looked at the rams and there is no ripples on the body.

Like the video, review and the vehicle. Like you said, it is a work vehicle. Designed for payloads, towing etc. Who wants leather interior, carpet mats etc if it's going to be used in muddy wet area's. There are three things i personally would want as an option. 1: have the mirrors electric extension so ya can extend them without getting wet or cold. 2: have a sun roof (manual pop up or electric sliding). Through summer ya can get the heat out when on the open road. Having windows down on open road can be noisy. 3: have 19 or 20 inch tyres (tires) on it. For me, 17's are a little small for a heavy vehicle that has a heavy payload and towing capacity. You also mentioned the ride was a little bouncy and steering a little light. The vehicle is designed for heavy loads. If ya take another ute (truck) for test run, put a few 50kg (100lb) bags of sand on the back. It should alter the driving experience and change the driving characteristics of the ute (truck). I definitely would love that vehicle IF we could get them here in New Zealand.

Only problem so far is the front brakes.. recall item. All these trucks have 3.42 rear end due to 10 speed transmission

I feel my chevy 3500 dually has has a better turning radius than my ram 3500 dually..and couldn't agree more on ford's bed being the best looking bed..love that bed..also ,pulled a Kramer with the gas needle on that review..lol

The tail lights and tailgate of the new Chevy Silverado dually is the same body as GMC Sierra HD truck.

Nice review. The WT trim has came a long way in available options. This truck would be considered loaded 15 years ago. Anyways I think the towing sticker having a little less hitch weight rating as compared to the actual payload is to make certain you stay under your rear axle rating. The rating on the sticker will definitely keep you under the 10,500 Axle rating. That’s what I think anyway. The actual 5400 pound payload would be for the entire truck and not just the bed. I think that’s kind of a problem by just saying you got 5000 pounds of payload so I can have 5000 pounds of tongue weight. Well maybe you still can (have to go to scales to make certain) but that number on GMs tow sticker will guarantee that you don’t exceed the rear axle weight.

I live in upstate ny and I've noticed 99 percent of huge loads on gooseneck trailers or fifth wheel are being towed by a ram why is that actually I live just down the road from a hotshot driver and that's what he drives also

I i tried to purchase a Chevy from Criswell Chevrolet of Thurmont but they wanted a $6000. Market adjustment on their vehicles. NO THANKS! Found a better deal right up the road from them.

I have been mistreated by GM for years now. I just gave up, and said never again. The front end, IMO only, is horrid. Definitely not a fan. I do like the rear step, and the side step. That's a brilliant move for the general. Did I see a hose running to the spare to check it's PSI? That is also a good move. The seats for just being straight up vinyl look good. But I have a big problem with vinyl floors. While they are easy to clean, they tend to get holes in them much faster than carpet. I think the durability of a vinyl floor is horrible. And that's not just a GM problem, that's all of the big 3. So I like carpet floors. Because in the summer, I drive barefoot 90% of the time. That's what happens when you live in work boots for over 35 years. Nice video, but that one is not for me.
