Vids are great. Definitely need more cause very few people posting about the Corolla. Just wanted you to be a bit safer, please use jack stands whenever your under the car. Relying on the jack alone is a risky move. Anyway keep up the vids and stay safe bro

Should do a review video on the part! Talk about the install, first impressions, impressions after you’ve had it on a month etc.

@ RiceVlogs_ He nice videos, curious before and after this mod if you'd noticed while driving while in fifth.. when letting off the throttle the whole shifter assembly would jounce back and forth maybe .5"-1". mine did it from rolling off the lot, and only in this gear. I enquired immediately and they said they all did it. Curious if there's a bigger issue with then premature tears on the back motor mount...
@ricevlogs_ Жыл бұрын
Hmmm i guess i never noticed that tbh i dont think it would have been too big of a deal most shifter move a little anyway i figured

@@ricevlogs_ Ya I don't know if it's typical to this platform, but having owned 22 manual cars in my lifetime with none previously having this much movement in any given gear it's odd to have. Looked again on mine, I'd say likely a 1/4" movement, but it catches my eye consistently while my hand isn't on the shifter.

you mentioned that it’s possible that after switching to the solid mount that it would make a noise at idle. does it make any odd noises? also how is the driving accel with all the short throw upgrades and solid mount?
@ricevlogs_ Жыл бұрын
No odd noises necessarily just some extra vibration and a bit more engine noise. And they are great driver mods each thing making the car more and more raw and less boring!

Will you also be looking into the aftermarket crank pulley from Nonstop Tuning?
@ricevlogs_ Жыл бұрын
No i have heard of people changing them out but i haven’t decided yet for sure yet if i will be getting it, i do feel it would be worth the reduced rotational mass on the engine to help it rev more freely!

ill have to check and see if I have any clips from when I installed it originally but at this point it may be hard to notice any difference with the exhaust at this point.

The only issue I see with this is the fact that the 6MT is maade of glass and you're simply going to reduce the already short life of the transmission.

I see where youre coming from do to the recent issues peoe have been having with imput shaft bearings and what not but i feel that it just depends on each person’s preference and i also feel the issue’s could be a matter of the manufacturers my cars 100% from japan so im hoping japans factories are a bit better than the usa ones lol
@Dedmuus Жыл бұрын
@RiceVlogs_ mine is from Japan as well. My transmission lasted 75k and my Tacoma lasted 400k.
