When Ducati designed the Panigale v4 as the Cheetah 🐆 with builtin race/sport mode, the Multistrada is the heavy weight Lion 🦁 with the mode like the cheetah 🐆

Ordered one immediately. Dealer said it may be here next week. My friend had one for a few days and said it was great. I’ll miss my 14 Pikes Peak but probably not for long. The guy at the 6 min mark in the red shirt looks like an older version of Jimmy from Yellowstone.

Great vid, man! The kit 👌It’s such a good bike. Handling is crazy for it’s size. Those forged wheels and Stylemas! I’d honestly buy one if I had $30k.

Entertaining advertisement. I don’t agree you can forget everything you know about the Multistrada of previous generations. In many ways this PP is a return to Multistradas of old. Shorter wheelbase, racing front wheel size. Plus new features but not so different.

BMW S1000XR weighs 498 wet, with 165 max HP = 0.331 HP/pound. KTM 1290 Super Duke GT weighs 497 wet, with 175 max HP = 0.352 HP/pound.

totally agree - I'm biased though... I have the XR and have other KTMs... this Ducati is nice but it's also about ~$8k more than what I paid for a loaded XR with the sport package.

I think heated grips and heated seats are extra aren’t they? You would think for that price it would be included! Still….seems like and awesome bike. Definitely interested!

I believe that the Heated Grips are standard and the Seat is optional. Kinda weird to be optional "Shrugs"... The one I was able to ride had both. Was great for the cold San Diego Mornings!

Would I lose the sportiness factor if I upgrade from my current bike which is a 2020 Tuono factory V4 to this ? How’s the midrange power & the power delivery compered to Tuono v4 if you ever has ridden one? Is it much more comfortable? How’s the wind protection?

Your (and my) Tuono is a comfortable rsv4, re-tuned with lower gear ratios for the street. I also own a Multistrada. Albeit a 2014 model. But my experience still applies. The only reason to switch from your Tuono to Multistrada is because you want a bike to do much longer distances on, as well as motorcycle travel, and 2-up riding. You will absolutely sacrifice sportiness if you switch to the Multistrada. If the Multistrada was as sporty as the Tuono it would look like the streetfighter. That’s not to say this bike isn’t sporty as hell, but it wasn’t developed on the track like the rsv4/Tuono. I started with a Multistrada and added the Tuono to my stable because I felt I had reached the limits of sport riding on Multistrada. It’s taller and heavier, and I wanted to go that next step. Very glad I did. But my Multistrada is still my #1 bike. Medium to somewhat intense sport riding, long distance touring, comfortable 2-up riding, day tripping, commuting, beer/grocery runs. It’s amazing. But the Tuono….. that’s something special. SO if you’re ready to start doing some legitimate touring on your motorcycle, or want to take a passenger on a regular basis: Multistrada. If not, stick with your Tuono.

It might have 170 hp but sure as hell does not translate to it on the road . I find it lacking in the power stakes and the brakes are next level woeful .

So after a bit of Asking around Yes, it should be able to switch to correct shifting (I mean GP Shift) lol but I couldn’t find anything online that directly says it can.

Good looking bike but suspension will go bad very soon and Ducati will refuse to repair under warranty, that happened to me with the 2012 Pikes Peak bike ! Still have that bike in the garage , didn't ride it for years after buying BMW GSA 1250, what a difference in quality build and support , will never buy Ducati again !!!
