I chose the F150 Platinum black appearance package and it is the most amazing vehicle I have ever driven. I love it so much, I just ordered a Whipple charger and the Ford Performance 22" wheels. I have waited 27 years to get myself a new brand new vehicle and this truck amazes me every time I drive it. I am a retired Ford Senior Master technician and I now teach Automotive at Lone Star College here in Texas. I supercharged my 1993 Lightning back when I was a youngster, have missed it ever since, so my new Rapid red black appearance Platinum is being converted to replace my old Lightning. Thank you for your excellent videos. They kept me from going insane while I was waiting through the 6 months it took to build my truck (April through October).

Hopefully one day, I buying this pickup truck.

Hey 703, just wanted to let you know, today I picked up my 2023 Rapid Red Black Appearance Package Platinum 5.0 F1 Fifty. I have the Whipple sitting on the bench, Ford Performance 22" wheels, BWoody traction bars etc.... ready to bolt on. Reach out if you want any info on my build. The reason I am updating you, I commented earlier with my 22 F150 Platinum BAP truck, but it was 2WD. I re-ordered and got my 4X4 today to complete this build. The 2WD simply would not hook up. Like I said before, your awesome videos kept me sane during this April 2022 to February 2023, 2 truck purchase journey. When you show the rear bump stops, mention the ride height sensors (front and rear) for the dynamic bending headlights on this truck. The truck moves the headlights up and down, left and right, based on vehicle ride height and steering wheel turning. Amazing feature I enjoy on my Platinum!!! Just saying.... Love your videos!!!

Just so you know GM invented the power up/down tailgate. They were first offered on the 19 Silverado High Country and GMC Denali.

I chose the F-150 Platinum metallic white just like the one in the video i have the coyote 5.0 V8 10 speed transmission powertrain in my truck my truck is the 2021 version glad I purchase a 2021 because they've been deleting things off of the F-150 trucks every year since then I purchase a 2017 F-150 Lariat EcoBoost v6 Trade it in for a 2018 F150 Platinum V8 5.0 coyote traded it in I purchased a 2021 F-150 platinum the new body style if Ford keep deleting things off their F150 am probably will not be purchasing another one in the future Google the 2022 and 2023 F150 and will see how much they have deleted off them since the 2021 version .

I just went to order a 2023 Platinum Black Appearance Package 4X4 because of my Whipple install traction issues on my 2WD. Ford made me delete heated steering wheel, Active motion seats, downgraded the truck to Blue Cruise "prep package", taking the Platinum down to a Lariat at the same cost of a Platinum High package...after a month, I canceled the order. GMC still offers self driving and messaging seats in their trucks. My dealer salesperson, whom has been in the business for decades explained to me that Ford has burnt so many bridges with their suppliers, trying to lower costs, and now they cannot get suppliers to build for them. I will only buy a Ford, but highly disappointed in the direction they have taken. So sad! I am installing the Whipple supercharger 12/19/22 and going to figure out traction in 2WD. Wish me luck!!!

Thank you for the video. I’ve been looking at both new and used. I was looking at a user 2021. It’s heater/ac controls were digital on the knobs. Looks like Ford’s not offering those right now. Do you known what else Ford has quietly removed to save money or short supply.

Love these various F150's. I can't stand the blue interior of the Limited, can't stand it, but it is my understanding that you can start with the Platinum and option in everything you get with the Limited, but with the Platinum I can also get the all black interior. So Platinum would be what I choose between the Limited, Platinum and lower versions. I just don't like the big silver bar across the back of the tailgate, so I might do some kind of a partial chrome delete job on the exterior if I got the Platinum, the black exterior my top choice. If there is a black out option either from the company or the dealer for the Platinum that accomplishes the same thing and more, I would be very interested in that. I would want to lift the Platinum a couple inches, nothing extreme, but some; and if there was a way to offset the tires to the outside just an inch or two more, making the wheelbase just a tad wider, for stability but also a slightly more aggressive look, I don't know how that would be done, but if possible I'd be interested in that too. Lastly, I am considering the Tremor because it comes with a lot of what I would want, as well as spring shocks at one end. Sadly you can't get the massaging seats in the Tremor, or the flat recline of the front seats though that's not a priority for me. Though the better mpg of the Platinum versus the Tremor is appealing. Generally I would want an all black exterior, but I must say this white with some black highlights does look great, and something I would consider, though I'd add more tint to the windows. And interestingly, the exterior silver/chrome doesn't bother me so much with the white exterior, not like it does with the black exterior. The silver/chrome on the exterior compliments with the white, but contrasts with the black. Funny, but the feature I love the most, and the primary reason I am only considering Ford and not competitors, is that front center console fold out flat work surface, I would use that so often, and no one else offers it. Funny the small things that can make a huge difference. I'd also option that adjustable, lockable storage compartment beneath the backseat, that would be highly useful as well, though could also be flattened out for a wider mostly flat floor with the seat up if ever needed. Also, I would option this with the black spray in bed liner, practical and further adding to the black/white contrast that I like so much.

LOL - worth it? 2022 F150 XL @ $50k... 5.0 coyote, 4x4 long bed, SuperCab, max payload/tow packages, 101A power pkg, 36 gal fuel tank, fog lights, work station, 18" alum wheels with payload pkg, skid plates, heavy duty gears and upgrade bumper, privacy glass, everything is black but the wheels, start/stop delete and $7,000 in equity before the truck is even delivered in 2 months since 2023 prices just increased Let's Go Brandon!!! Is a more expensive model worth it? To me no stinkin way!! I have enough money left over for a 304 stainless SPD Perf exhaust, Yakima HD ladder racks, 3 in bed tool boxes, a spray in bed liner, Baja Designs pocket lights + reverse lights and seat covers. Thank you Ford for keeping the reliable V8 in the lineup.
