If you’re not going for a M vehicle by BMW or an AMG from Mercedes, you really have to put this on your test drive list. Genesis is doing great things! They are quickly climbing the ranks and leaving Jaguar, Infiniti, Buick and Volvo. Can’t wait to see their future coupes and the rumored full-size GV90. The future is bright for Genesis. This is indeed the brand to watch.

Very nice car and review. Never thought we see anything like this from our Korean friends. I wish we had one ball shaped sensor in the fascia under the grille, instead of that piece in the middle of it. It seems to spoil the front a bit. The GV80 needs an upscale version of the steering wheel in this one. Thanks for another great video, guys. I remember when y’all first got started. Cheers.

Great job guys. Great presentation. Love that car. I do have the G80 2018 gonna get the new one this October but. But I'm looking at this G70 because top of the line G70 is almost 56 thousand. That would be the one I'd get. Top of the line G80 is almost 70. 66 I think. So I'll keep the 10 in some stks go figure. That car is superb. Really good refreshed look too. Yes sirr. Man you guys made it happen. I wanted to see it driven on the outside. Maybe I missed that part? If I missed it I'm sorry but if not I wanted to see the car driven from the outside in some shots. Gonna swallow my pride and get rid of the stereotyping. Hyundai been killing it for the past 5 years. And their Genesis brand is growing on me. Honestly the GV70, their new sporty SUV is more appealing than Benz, BMW or Audi. I'm happy to see another brand with potential in the industry. Can't wait for when i can afford a top trim one. For now my 2021 CX-5 GTR will have to keep me happy

to be honest this car looks very nice coming from a person that only buys German I would not mind buying this. but I would also like to mention all of the technology in this 2022 genesis already exists in 2015 c300 not to mention the Eclass German technology trikles down overtime that is what people who buy German pays for. with that said this car is 🔥

The exhaust tip seems out of place with the rest of the rear design. Same for the front side vents, also doesn't really for the rest of the car, imo.

Nice car I took one for a test drive was ready to buy until I was told they were asking 2,500 .00 dollars over the MSRP bad move on Genesis dealers . I don’t understand when you are trying to build a brand and one of your claim to fame is we offer all that the German cars offer at a lower price. However when you compare apples to apples you can get a Audi S4 for the same price or maybe better. I’m speaking from experience I have purchased a Audi Q5 and an Audi RS3 both within the last couple of years. I have owned many high end cars including the above mentioned Audis along with Cadillac Lexus and Acura. I wanted to give another brand a try after watching some videos online of the new Genesis but after this type of business dealing trying to outright screw the customer I will stick with Audi and the rest.Not sure Kia corporate knows what the dealers are doing but I can tell you it’s not helping to build a brand. I guess they can ask for what ever they want and they may get it from some buyer but I can assure you it won’t be “this buyer”

A lot of us want the smaller sedan form factor as the rear is fine for booster seats/kids. I think the TLX-S is a bigger car but similar philosophy. Both are on the opposite edge of the compact sedan market.

Sat down to buy a gv80 prestige last week. They wanted to charge 2% interest with perfect credit. They also jacked the MSRP from 72K to 88K. I passed. Having leased a KIA K900 in the past, I know that 72K hyundai will be worth 20K in 4 years. Besides, it rode like shit on those 22s and the 3.5TT felt sluggish.

I'm not a fan of that grille and the 2014 Jeep Cherokee headlights. If I could I would ask Hyundai if I can take my 2009 Genesis front end and put it on this.

Big changes??? A new grill and headlights. New sheet metal on the rear. On the interior almost nothing is noticeably different beyond the digital gauge cluster. Whoopee. How about important changes like the engines available. Ooops... A "huge" upgrade in the 3.3L turbo of 3 HP from an active exhaust. But where Genesis REALLY missed the boat was in retaining the 2.0L turbo as the base engine rather than giving it the 2.5L turbo found in the G80 and GV80. Even worse, the closely related Stinger base model, the GT-Line, dropped that engine in favor of the new 2.5L turbo engine that's now available on at least 8(!) KIAs, Hyundais, and Genesis vehicles with MASSIVE improvements in HP and torque. The result in the Stinger is to improve the GT-Line's 0-60 time from about 6 seconds to 5.2 seconds. It now trails the 3.3L V6 by a measly 0.5 seconds. Now those are "Big Changes." Genesis missed the boat completely. Was Genesis afraid that offering the new 4 banger on the G70 would cannibalize sales of the G80 or the 3.3L twin turbo V6 G70? That's a possibility but it's unlikely to help the G70's anemic sales.

You were doing great, then you compared it to a Stinger.... While related these cars are in two completely different segments and while they also share parts they're built differently and tuned differently. The G70 is a Sport-luxury compact and the Stinger is a mid-size sports sedan... 👏🏾👌🏾👏🏾✊🏾

This new redesign is more intriguing and attractive inside and out but back seat leg room is not as spacious as its rivals

i was really disappointed in the brand. I bought a g70 sport 2020 it broke down 4 times. dealer was so useless pushed back on loaner too..... its just a Hyundai dealer still i ended up selling the car cause it kept failing with the gear selector and would freeze up.

I have to be honest, I don't like the refresh. It doesn't appeal to me aesthetically. First, that crest grille is yuck. The split headlamps are inelegant (they should stretch around much further). The pre-refresh G70 looked much better. And I miss the fog lamps. Second, I like that the pre-refresh G70 could be mistaken for a Bentley or Aston Martin. Borrowing aesthetic sensibilities from other brands is a Good Thing. Third, the rear end of the refreshed G70 is butt ugly (pun intended). The pre-fresh G70 looked much better. Fourth, the refreshed gauge cluster, which is half physical and half digital, is unappealing. Make it all-physical or all-digital but *don't* do half and half. (The blind spot imaging could've been placed in the center display.) Fifth, I liked the boomerang side vents on the pre-refresh G70. They gave the car a unique look. The refreshed G70 loses that uniqueness and could be mistaken for any other Genesis model. The 2022 G70 is still an excellent vehicle but it'll never get the same kind of love from me as in the pre-refresh G70.

It’s a nice G70 and it cost almost the same Mercedes Benz C300 or maybe more 😂
