One of the things that majorly affects people mentally when dealing with an injury is constantly worrying about re-injuring yourself. I was a cross-country runner in high school, until I royally screwed up my knee. Once I had healed from my surgery, and was back to running, the worry of re-injuring myself was ever=present. I was never as fast after my injury, and I'm positive I was mentally holding myself back because of the subconscious worry. Part of being a true professional, I think, is knowing when you are fully healed and being able to overcome the mental hurdle of worry, and learning to put your full trust in your own body again. You see this all the time in professional...anything, really. Some people just can't overcome the post-injury hurdle, and their careers effectively come to and end.

Sometimes you don't even need an injury for it to happen. Have you heard of the yips?

Worrying in general stops us from receiving the blessings god has already intended us to possess. Showing god our faith by remaining in the peace of Jesus through all circumstances will unlock blessings, healing, promotion and favor.

Isn't "glass cannon" a very strange gaming term? It's not like cannons need to sustain direct attacks or that cannons made out of glass would be especially bad at it. On the other hand, a cannon made out of glass would also not be an effective offensive weapon, either too heavy and bulky or exploding itself on first use. Now, a cannon that fired glass shards would make sense, but it would not reflect the use of the term.
