It's because the 125 is an air cooled trail cruiser, and the 150r is a liquid cooled enduro/track bike. They also used to make an air cooled 150 that sounded like the 125, but it got replaced by the 125 in 2017

@@joski9030the 150rb is insanely fast for the size. Pretty sure the most torque out any 85 class frame bike. The 150 you rode must not have been an R.

The 450 getting going reminds me of the horse I ride: 15 hands(around 5 feet), 'bout 11-1200 pounds, sweetest girl. Takes her a bit to go, but when she goes, she GOES! She can take me halfway around the arena in 5 secs when it's racetime.

I've just moved onto a 250 from the 150. 150 has faster response, but the 250 pulls for a lot longer into the higher revs.

Just got a 07 CRF150RB, love that thing. I haven't been on a dirt bike in 6 years after a crash on a 110, (throttle got stuck and rammed into the prop on the boat). But, we already have put over 2,000 into her. Put a Honda Helix carb, works great...until my dad took it out yesterday to put inside of a Venom street bike. Broke mid-ride on me going downhill, back tire locked up and started swinging around, shifting down and it stopped. After a rattling, poor thing. Gotta wait another week to ride her, so, back to our 07 TRX250EX and 2013 Rancher for now:(

I have the 125 and it’s the best cause it’s super light it’s really agile and easy to whip around and it can jump whoops and bumps like nothing and is super fun to pop it off small hills
