Your videos and tutorials are the best for astrophotography! You're like that really tough coach where you think you're done with practice and along comes another drill. Your knowledge of Pixinsight and PS is amazing and workflow very helpful!

You chose the small stars twice but I got the idea of what you were trying to get. Excellent video.

Two tips for tracking sample points in DBE. First tip, if you are zoomed in and lose track of the currently selected sample, click on the blue arrow button. It will take you to the current sample. Second tip, if you click the crosshair button (far right), your view will automatically track with the selected sample as you use the sample select buttons. Love your videos, thank you for making them.

Another great video and I just finished processing some new data with your techniques - absolutely fantastic tutorial and great results! I like the use of PI and PS to achieve your final results. I use PI and found the colour enhancement setting very much global as you mentioned. With PS, one can target only specific areas - another great set of instructions. Clear Skies!

I have run this several times, excellent workflow. The trick with the stars is awesome. I love the way you describe it as turning them on, lol. Made me giggle as I went about "turning on my stars" I can't wait, really, can't wait for the second video in this series. Appreciate the time and effort you invest in creating this kind of content. Your approach is well thought out and easy to follow. Thanks!

@@enteringintospace4685 Just ran the second video. Well done Sir, well done. I know this takes a ton of time to create, edit and upload. Thanks for doing it so that people like me can up our game so fast. Please don't stop making them. Your commentary is spot on BTW. In one of your past videos at the end you were like, I thinks that it for now and I have BBQ on the way. Heard BBQ and was like hey, that sounds like a great idea. Smoked me some pork shoulder the next day. See, inspiration all around.

@@enteringintospace4685 I see it now. Watching the video, TPO 180 UltraWide Review. And there it is, in the background..... a smoker under an umbrella. I feel like a stalker. A smoker stalker. Lol

One thing that I did different was to use the DynamicPSF process instead of the EZDecon. I am not sure why, but EZDecon, gave a PSF that was no where near correct. After using the DynamicPSF process everything went well. I am pretty sure it had something to do with my source data.
@enteringintospace46852 жыл бұрын
Got ya! Yeah if I have a wide field image I wouldn't use the ez decon. It would take for ever!!
@MrSpike24502 жыл бұрын
Just brilliant thanks,, will this work just as well with an OSC and the enhance filter, split the channels first etc or just take a luminance ?
@enteringintospace46852 жыл бұрын
Thanks! For starters I would not take the time to split the channels, just do the preprocessing step, apply a mild stretch and go from there. You could possibly extract the lum after combined and process it separately as I did the ha data.

Awesome video! Minor nit, it should be palette and not pallet. A pallet is a bed made out of hay 😅.

I can hear it now too! I can't honestly say if it was human error on my end or a YT encoding delay. Anyway, I always appreciate any decent Pixinsight walk through. There so much stuff that it can be overwhelming without this type of help.
