Prices are much different in the states. 900 rally pro is 17200 norden is 1399 plus the tech pack

I was thinking this too. The Triumph, Ducati, and BMW aren’t even in the same ballpark here in US.

@@flattopwill def ain’t. I guess the major publications don’t mention it because prices are different for a lot of countries.

Seen this and a few others of your videos, liked and subscribed. You may already have heard this before, because many Americans dont know how to pronounce Husqvarna, only motorcycle journalist that I seen that comes close is Big Rock Moto. Anyway, it is not Husqa-varna, more Huis-Kvarn-a'. It is a 400+ year company that started in the town Husqvarna (now spells Huskvarna) which is just beside Jönköping in southern Sweden. It is a beautiful area, they have a nice industrial museum and there are also some motorcycle museums nearby. You should take a trip there, it is just a day trips ride for where you are in Germany. Cheers

Great review again, Scott. I myself find the Huskie a bit plump with the side-fueltanks and the large buddy, but Huskies are always full of character and so is this. I agree with your critisism of the tft-screen, it doesn't look too well. I wouldn't change it for my F850Gs Rallye, in spite of the lesser weight and the better frontsuspension.

I fell in love with this beast from its concept Scott! But I think Husqvarna (KTM) did themselves a lot of harm by the ridiculous launch time from concept. I had my name down here in Australia but got so frustrated with that wait time! I went completely off on another tangent & bought the BM R18! No regrets at all with that decision! I’m now considering the Yamaha Tenere which is better value as far as I’m concerned for what I need. Good review nonetheless mate!👍🏻😎

Thank you, yea, it's better to have 2 bikes, one for road and one for off-road. Keep the R18 and get T7 for off, simple 😁👍

Thanks for the info, and the charts are an awesome resource. I wish you would have compared it with the Tiger 900 rally pro, as its more apples to apples. I'm actually selling my rally pro for this bike because its cheaper, and the explorer mode is better off road than the what the rally pro offers.

You mentioned this might be a great bike for 70% road to get to your 30% dirt - how is the higher speed freeway wind protection say 65-80 mph / 110-130 kph and any buffeting?
@NothingToProve2 жыл бұрын
The wind protection for a bike like this is pretty typical for all ADV bikes that are more biased for off-road. In other words, not very good. Yes you will have buffeting...etc. take care, Scott

Sorry, could you explain better what do you exactly mean by throttleing or mapping which you complain about in Ergonomics section? Does the machine works like it's on too low rpms or does it suffocate like it's running out of gas or does it unpredictably kicks acceleration? I ride Kawa Z650 and I have been thinking to switch to VStrom 650 or Norden 900 but I think I would miss the lively ride of that nimble little perfect machine.

Hurrah, the chart is back! Don't care about the bike much. We only have 10 miles (16 kms) of off road in England. So anyone who buys these adventures is a total poseur and, possibly, an eater of garlic.

A no nonsense review. Husqvarna has had more ownership changes over the years than Norton, or at least as many. KTM bought the brand and is now flogging it for a premium to hopefully increase profits. Is there really a loyal following for the brand? Time will tell, however I don't see it. The average rider who remembers the old days when Husky was an actual brand is getting long in the tooth. My gut tells me this is not going to last.

The adventure bike fad is interesting. Most buyers don’t adventure, they just want the look. The average adventure bike buyer is older and has the money to spend on looks. Nobody really wants a heavy adventure bike, that makes no sense to anyone with experience riding. However, heavier bikes at highway speeds can be a asset. It will be interesting to see if this adventure bike fad continues, in a couple years I think we’ll see this fad die out. A person needs two bikes at a minimum, a good road bike and a light weight dual sport type of bike. That makes more sense to me. Maybe I’m wrong perhaps, the heavy overpriced adventure bikes with all these gadgets just doesn’t make sense to me.
@NothingToProve2 жыл бұрын
Yea, agreed. But they've been saying that about the GS since it came out in 1980 and sales last year of just that one model, 1250GS, exceeded 61,000 units. That's more bikes then Triumph or Ducati sells of all their bike models put together in a year. And last year Triumph sold almost 10,000 units of just the Tiger 900, which set a record within Triumph for the most sold of one model in a year. So I agree it's a fad but that fad seems to be an increasing trend at the moment. If we keep buying them, they'll keep makin' more. take care, Scott
@michaeljohnson29222 жыл бұрын
@@NothingToProve I didn’t realize the production numbers were that high. That’s actually quite amazing
@march.48092 жыл бұрын
I don't think it is a fad. It is a versatile platform that makes sense for a lot of people.
@flattopwill2 жыл бұрын
It’s been going way too long to just be a fad. Hell even the sport touring bikes are becoming more and more like ADV bikes. The fact is it’s a platform that works well in many riding situations for many people regardless of their intention to go off road. The only drawback is seat height for the vertically challenged.
